I love the Armani aesthetic. It is my favorite brand of all time. Having said this, there is nothing fresh and innovative here, as with previous showings as well as with the Emporio line. But I think I solved the riddle as to why they still produce shows season after season – it’s a business decision to remind to the world that if one needs ultra high-end traditional pieces and suits and leather goods, Armani is the only go-to place. It might as well could have been that Giorgio and his team selected a concept or two and just picked items already in their inventory and in their vaults, then voila…a collection! So it’s just reminding us that Armani is that place for luxury non-invasive/conformist attire. It’s a good business decision. Their stores are always doing well.
