With over 25 years of experience in the wonder industry, Jackel is a seasoned beauty executive and industry changemaker known for leading the charge on progressive breakthrough products and catapulting corporations to unprecedented global success. Jackel joined Pangaea as President of Pangaea Brands in 2022.
In her recent role as CEO, she is answerable for leading the holding company’s two flagship brands: Lumin Men’s Skincare and Meridian Grooming. Since taking the reins, Jackel has been actively reinventing each brands, evolving them to be industry disruptors that can appeal to broader audiences and drive category growth.
About Jackel’s Profession
Jackel has amassed a powerful resume of achievements over her profession with quite a few industry accolades including, “Most Progressive Mass Marketer of the 12 months” in 2003, “Marketer of the 12 months” in 2014 and WWD Beauty Inc’s 2015 “Beauty’s 50 Most Powerful Women.”
Prior to her post at Pangaea, she most recently served as CEO of Yes To Inc, a number one natural skincare brand famous for its unique blends of vegetables and fruit, from 2015 to December 2019. Jackel boasts an extended list of accomplishments during her tenure there, including doubling gross revenue that led them to scoring Ulta’s 2016 Brand of the 12 months Award and expanding the brand’s international footprint.
Before Yes To, Jackel was behind the reinvention of Physicians Formula that modernized the 80-year old cosmetics brand, bringing quality products from ‘class to mass.’ There, she held several positions over the course of a decade including President, CEO and Chairwoman. She led the charge on the corporate’s IPO in November 2006 and the secondary offering in April 2007, after which led the M&A process to bring the corporate back to the private sector in 2012, through a successful sale to Markwins. Under her leadership, Physicians Formula established itself as one in all the highest 10 fastest growing cosmetics corporations.
Jackel began her profession in the wonder industry within the early 1990’s at Pierre Fabre, France’s second largest pharmaceutical and dermo-cosmetic laboratory, working on the U.S. adaptation of a number of the company’s iconic skincare and body care brands equivalent to Avène, Elancyl and Aderma.
She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a MBA, with honors, from one in all France’s top business schools (Audencia, Nantes, France). After relocating to the USA, Jackel continued her studies, earning an M.B.A. with honors from Bowling Green State University.
