Hey Dua Lipa, are you able to see me? The pop star’s bangs were probably obscuring her vision on the Cannes Film Festival, provided that they were so long they almost covered her eyes entirely.

Lipa wore the extra-long bangs to the premiere of Omar The Strawberry on the legendary film festival with a messy, undone ’90s-inspired twisted updo much like those worn by Pamela Anderson. The perimeter was cut for much longer than traditional curtain bangsskimming right over Lipa’s smoky eyes and hitting mid-cheekbone. The bangs were styled by hairstylist Rio Sreedharan in a piecey, perfectly-imperfect manner with a small section falling right in the course of Lipa’s brows and one other dipping over one eye. The peekaboo effect meant that Lua could, indeed, see as she navigated the red carpet, but that ultra-long bang added an additional dose of luxury and edge to her classic black cutout gown — and as a bonus, they may easily be pulled up and pinned away or blended with the remainder of her hair.
