I took advantage of the 11/11 sale and ordered Steeldive 1970 and the PD moonwatch. They both arrived today and very sad that PD sent me the wrong watch. The Steeldive is very nice for the money though. Wish I had received the correct PD.

Thanks Jody for another great Aliexpress review. I have bought 2 watches based on your reviews. The first is a Loreo Rolex submariner homage from a few years back. Great watch for the price (75$ US). The second is a Steel Diver 1970 "Captain Willard" Sekio homage. This one, which is on your current list, I got last year based on your recommendation (also around $75 US). Both of these watches are an exceptional value for the price. I'm amazed that these Chinese made watches. The quality is unmatched for these prices. I just bought the Pagani "World Timer". Can't wait to get it.

Thanks for such a great rundown Jody! I’m having a problem tracking down the Sugess “Revival” on AliExpress. The link you’ve provided takes me to what looks like a very, but slightly different watch. Same looks to be the same dial but a rounder case.

Ali Express should just rename themselves CRAPOLA … I recently purchased a Xeon motherboard bundle that came with defective dimm for memory. Trying to get any replacement/refund involved dealing with Chinese seller and then once that failed had to contact Ali Express Customer Support. Lots of back-n-forth – asking me to prove something was defective for a PC that would not post. Then, after two weeks of the back-n-forth (even simple email exchanges always take days due to time differences) they tell me *Your date for buyer protection has EXPIRED … GRRRRR 😡😡😡

Seeldive question; is the sd1970 and the sd1974 the same colour? I wayched your video of the green 1970, but in other videos the colour looks way better than in your video. Also on alie express self the 1974 looks better in green than the 1970 model

Jody, your link for the Steeldvive 1970 needs attention. It took me to a page pricing the watch at ￡423.46 but also stating, "Sorry, this item is no longer available!"

Great video as usual Jody. Question for you (or anyone who has the answer), the Sugess link took me to a different watch than the one shown, do you know how I can find it? I went to the official store on Ali, and still can't find this particular retro style case. They have a number of decent looking chronos, but for the life of me I can't find the one you showed here that echoes the Zenith Revival.

I came up with 4 watches to buy yesterday, the 11th, adding the last one partly to take advantage of the highest level discount coupon. Glad I pulled the trigger yesterday because today (the 12th) the big coupon is no longer available to me. So something I don't recall hearing from any YouTube watch types is that the real good sale is only for one day. Now things don't look nearly so attractive. Like your channel BTW.

The original San Martin retro diver with the rivet style bracelet is the longest serving watch in my collection, just a great little watch with superb finishing. I like the seagull diver but is it actually ISO certified as indicated on the dial?

I'll second the caution warning on the Seagull ST19xx movement, I've had a couple go bad on me and at the price point they aren't worth the labour cost to repair. I still have one running example in a microbrand which I really do love, but caveat emptor as they say.

I really wanted the sm 62mas homage, but the bracelet has those male endlinks and no on the fly adjustment.
I also wanted the gs homage but I just couldn't pull the trigger because of the polished midlinks. I was afraid I'd scratch them to hell and be upset.. I'm hoping if I like this, I'll buy one of the others at the next sale… idk, im so conflicted

The “sugges revival” has disappeared, and the link leads to a similar watch from the same brand, but with another round case, not a square one. I have searched for it without success on Aliexpress.

I think I got enough homage watches, been buying Seiko Prospex solar divers, easier to resell when you want a change (would be hard to offload these homages for anything)
