I can't wait to hear what you have to say about the Givenchy Prisme Libre highlighter. It is almost impossible to find the Gucci in the USA. I have been to two counters and they do not have it. I live in the woods of Montana and so going to a Gucci counter only happens when I am visiting the "big" city. I looked in Seattle and Denver and neither had it. I don't want to have to order from Harrods but I will if I have to. The cost of shipping from Europe, and England in particular, is almost as much as the product. If this is something that you like then it is much easier for me to find. As always, you look stunning, Angela.
Your skin is so beautiful. I am taking baby steps towards accepting my skin as it is and not as I wish. I took very good care of my skin when I was younger but we didn't really know about the affects of sun damage and so I didn't wear sunscreen on my face. I did use very expensive skincare products. In those days, Tropicana was the most popular sunscreen on the beaches of Southern California and it felt gross, heavy, greasy and orange on the skin. I used it on my body but mostly to keep from burning and losing the gains I had made in tanning. We also bought bars of cocoa butter and rubbed them all over. When I graduated from college and worked night shifts, graveyards they called it, I didn't see the sun for over 25 years. I would come home shortly after sunrise, sleep all day and go back to work at about 11 PM. By rights, and by what we know about sun damage, I should have little to no damage. My sister, on the other hand, tanned the same way I did but she married and spent her entire day outside gardening. She didn't wear protection and she didn't wear a hat. She never used any skincare other than a bar of soap and a bottle of Jurgens body lotion. Her skin looks considerably younger than mine. She has no sunspots and I have many on my face. She has little or no wrinkles and I have many. She is only one year younger than me. I am not sure what the difference was/is but I am not sure science has figured out the best way to care for our skin. We can only do the best we can at the time, given our current knowledge and our pocket books. I am faithful to wearing a broad spectrum sunscreen everyday, regardless of whether I will be out in the sun or not. Rays penetrate through windows so even if one is not going out, you have to treat your skin like you plan to be out all day. Reapply as often as possible. The only really elegant way to reapply, for me, is the Colorscience Brush on Sunscreen. I implore all watchers to be careful with your skin. Start young, like Angela and be consistent. That is the key. I have seen a lot of skin cancer over the years as an RN and no amount of beautiful makeup is going to make you look good when you are my age and haven't been careful. I do the best I can with what I have to work with and I am slowly accepting that I cannot turn back the hands of time. Maybe someday, long after I am gone, science and beauty will find a way to completely turn back the clock. I know that science is getting very close to unlocking the secrets to longevity and there are many researches who say we are on the cusp of living well into our 100's to 150's. Believe me, if that is true then you want it to be with wonderful skin, LOL!!!

I have watched a couple of videos showing the shadows and everyone seems to love them. They are pricey and not very big but if they are half as amazing as others have said, I think you will like them. I know one reviewer used the pink on her cheeks and it looked stunning! Now I must try the hair oil but I fear my fine thinning hair will not appreciate it. :). Also, I wonder what your reaction the Valentino packaging is? When I bought it awhile back I thought it was so cheap and did not feel like luxury product.

Have you ever tried the Visionnaire serum/skin corrector by Lancome? If you have, what’s your opinion on it, is is worth getting? I’m contemplating this one, but not sure… (i have dry skin, close to sensitive, some hyperpigmentation)

A lot of skin care products you mentioned have high levels of fragrance. Do you know how bad it is for your face? You should probably start looking into fragrance free products. No one wants fragrance in their products anymore..

If I may say so, you are going to love Guerlain's hair serum. It all comes down to the way you apply it.
I've just bought my third bottle with 20% off fortunately.
I have health issues that force me to be under medication that causes me many things; one of them dryness.
It has helped me a lot giving my hair softness and natural shine.
I divide my hair into 5 sections apply half a pump in each section directly in my scalp. Then I massage it in a circular motion. The tip is to do it gently and for 1 or 2 minutes. This promotes microcirculation of the scalp and it's very relaxing.
Then I apply it on the rest of my hair (longs and ends), tie it in a bun before going to sleep.
And when I wake up it feels soooo soft and hydrated.
I only use it like that one or two days a week. The other days only on the ends to give my hair shine.
You have beautiful hair so you'll have results very quickly.

I also definitely went over budget a bit this year, however, am very happy with my purchases! I bought a few new cashmere sweaters and scarves that I'm absolutely in love with! Where I went overboard was Skincare and Cosmetics. I'm very tempted by the Givenchy L'Interdit Eau de Parfum Ultime. This sounds like a fragrance I would love with the white flowers and Cacao. I would also like to pick up a sample of the Miss Dior. I really enjoy your description of fragrances…this helps quite a bit! 😊

I purchased the same Hermes quad as you (with the bright pink) but I’m not as impressed as I am with my current favorites: Chanel, Dior, and Cle’ de Peau. I had some trouble blending. Looking forward to any tips you may have! Thanks Angela ❤

I have a growing love of fragrance after not wearing any for way too many years. (Husband was allergic….supposedly… to all scent.) Last month I bought the NR for Her that you recommended and love it. I wear quite a few Hermes fragrances and enjoy the way they develop over a few hours.
Also, appreciate the gentle reminder not to overdo during the sales. It is very easy to get carried away and while I have fun in the moment I try to remember that there will always be another beautiful dress, handbag, makeup palette, etc. I choose carefully so that I can still afford other things that make me happy like travel, the theatre, etc.

I love the scent and the effect, both smell same. I also alternate using Kerastase elixir oil before using clarifying shampoo. I love that one too ☺️ 😘

I have 03 and 06 Hermes eyeshadow palettes and they are very good quality. 🤩You didn’t show the little brush from the Hermes pouch (be careful to not put the pouch in the garbage bin 🙂). Nobody reviewed 01 and I can’t wait to see your review.

I was nearly going to buy Coco Mademoiselle eau de parfum last week. I had it sprayed on my wrist and really liked it. When I went to purchase it a few days later (at a different store where I could get a discount), I had a "test" spray first, and it smelled different and nothing special. My favourite fragrance is actually Baiser de Neiges eau de toilette by Lise Watier. I buy it in Montreal.

These were all beautiful choices , Angela! The Replica fragrance line is very popular in Korea, so it was interesting to hear what you had to say. The purchase that I love and regret at the same time is the Sublimage skincare line by Chanel. It is lovely, and they did give me extra perks at the Chanel boutique, but it is a lot of money. Aah, I feel you with the fragrances!!! On my wishlist, I have La Vie Est Belle shower gel and body lotion, as well as a smaller size of my all-time FAVOURITE perfume; "Lait de Biscuit" by Chabaud Maison de Parfum, because I will travel to visit my family for the holiday, and I want to bring it with me… It makes me smell like a warm, delicious, sweet cake! It is such a comforting scent to me, and it ALWAYS cheers me up! But I don't really feel like it is necessary to bring the 100ml bottle I have here at home, and I also do not want to risk anything happening to it XD
Oh! And I really want to try the gentle face cleansing massage brush thingie from Shiseido…! But my skin can get quite irritated if I am too rough with it, so I think I need to try rubbing it against my hand in a store, and feel it before I buy it…! If it feels rough against the skin on my hand, my face will not be able to handle it; simple as that!
And because I will travel to my family quite early in December, I don't want to bring my Lancôme advent calendar with me! That feels unnecessary, you know? So much bulk on the plane! But I still want to open it one door a day, so I counted backwards on the normal calendar, to find out when I'd need to start opening it in order to finish it in time for my travel, so… I have opened the first two doors now! And it is the first door that has made me put the La Vie Est Belle shower gel and body lotion on my wishlist…! I had never tried the EdP before this calendar, but I sprayed it on a piece of paper yesterday, and smelled it on the paper throughout the day, and I have sprayed it on my skin today, and I LOVE how it smells!!!!
I only hope that the gel and lotion will smell the same; but maybe a bit MILDER than the EdP..!
Oh, I realize I am rambling…! I am sorry; I don't have anyone offline whom I can talk with about beauty and fragrances, because the people in my life are not interested in that, so they might let me ramble, but they don't… they don't GET it, you know?
…But I am trying to be good, and not buy too much, because I have a VERY limited budget, and I also am trying to save up to buy a good digital piano, because for the first time since childhood, I finally live in a flat that is big enough to have a piano! And I don't want all the hassle of an old-fashioned wooden piano, but a digital one, I will have!

I have been trying to order the Valentino blushes in 9 and 4 and they sold out in the sale and are still out of stock. I have regrets not ordering the Givenachy liquid highlighter in the Sephora sale i have been eyeing it sense it came out but i told myself only 1 pink highlight cause i ordered the Tom Ford highlighter in rose iris and i have regrets wish i got the Givenachy instead so i will probably order it . I also got the Katie Jane Hughes highlight set she came out with in lite pink and i am absolutely in love with that thing its so versital and beautiful and i know she is having a 30% off BF sale on her highlight so i think im going to buy light gold too. Great haul and reviews i had a good time drinking my morning coffee with you .

Thank you for this great video. I love every part but I especially enjoyed the end, where you say you’re tired of Dylan Blue and you’re going to make Nick wear the Givenchy. My husband sounds a lot like Nick – he rarely notices or comments favorably when I wear a new fragrance and he always wears the same fragrance. I look forward to your review of the Hermès eyeshadow – the #1 tempts me but the pink shade intimidates me and I want to be able to use all 4 shades. I really appreciate all the info you shared about your skin care – I am going to try to get a sample of the La Mer infusion you recommend. Thanks again!

A delightful video! Far too many choices! Love the perfume segmant. I have just purchased Chanel Coromondel, I have never spent so much money on a perfume blind, but I took a chance, and oh my word! It is beautiful! I am so glad that I did! I love it. I really need to go to a perfume counter and have a look at some of the other perfumes you describe. Heaven! I feel enabled!
