I love Kim….I love Silvia….I love Delfina….I LOVE Marc (legend)….I'm not sure I love them together. This collection absolutely felt fresh, young, cool…but it also felt disposable and trendy. The wearable pieces weren't as special as I've come to love from Kim and the theatrical pieces were just bonkers. Some of these proportions were near impossible and this porcelain grey and sickly pink color palette Kim has been attached to for the past couple seasons is a bit sad. That being said, I loved the injection of this neon green and aquamarine. As an accent, in the gorgeous tote bags, the green shone bright….as an all over color in a satin gown, it became a little garish. The watercolor knits were gorgeous and the bags were absolutely essential. I just felt like the presentation as a whole was a bit pandering to the social media generation….and I hope that's not the route Fendi plans on taking. The house is perfectly situated to follow its {now} sister house Versace into that market (and even more so with the FF logo being so easily branded), but hopefully it remembers its storied past and maintains some standard.

It took FOUR designers to do this collection ? Why ? I suppose true fashionistas could dissect the clothes and see the aesthetic of each designer in individual outfits. I suppose the beanies and looser shapes are Marc Jacobs ( grunge ), the menswear Kim Jones ( unusual coat shapes for men ), bags, fur, leather ( Silvia Fendi )and I've never heard of Delfina Delettrez. Color palette was neutral greys, whites, beiges and black with pops of florescent yellow. Whose idea was that ? Overall, it seemed more A/W ( the darker colors, the leather and the furs ) than resort which traditionally is more like S/S. I liked it though.
