"It's an actual honor to create the academician's habit for Annie Leibovitz, paying tribute to her photographic work as a talented, free and visionary artist." — Nicolas Ghesquière. In homage to her artistic achievements, Louis Vuitton dressed the acclaimed photographer in a custom traditional ensemble for the official ceremony. Giuseppe Penone Joins the Académie des Beaux-Arts | LOUIS VUIT

The acclaimed Italian artist is dressed by Louis Vuitton Men’s Studio to be installed in France's Académie des Beaux-Arts as a foreign associate member, recognized for his achievements in sculpture. Evoking the natural elements of his oeuvre, the hand-embroidered tailcoat features olive branch detailing as a reinterpretation of the normal academician’s green uniform, totaling over 500 hours of labor.
