This 12 months’s Gucci-sponsored LACMA Art + Film gala will honor two cultural giants: music video, TV and film director David Fincher and Los Angeles public art pioneer Judy Baca. Known for his neo-noir influences, fascination with sinister themes and perfectionist working style, Fincher got his start in music videos within the late Nineteen Eighties and early ’90s, directing Madonna’s “Express Yourself” and “Vogue,” before making his film directorial debut with “Alien 3” (1992), soon followed by the critically acclaimed “Seven” (1995), “Fight Club” (1999) and “Zodiac” (2007). Gucci is marking summer with several latest activations at its East Hampton boutique. Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura Beverly Hills, the Michelin-starred Los Angeles restaurant that's one in all town’s most coveted reservations, is appearing out east this summer and is partnering with Sant Ambroues on a special edition cookie. Mattia Agazzi and Tamara Rigo, head chef and pastry chef of Gucci Osteria, respectively, have collaborated with the team at Sant Ambroeus to create a Gucci touch on Sant Ambroeus’ fan favorite Ventaglio al Caffé cookie.
