Oddity Shares Surge 35 Percent in Its Stock Market
In an indication that the IPO market might be warming up, Oddity, the parent company of Il Makiage and SpoiledChild, has gone public, with investors diving into the stock. Shares in the corporate, which is trading on the Nasdaq Global Market under the ticker “ODD,” closed up 35 percent, or $12.53, to $47.54, valuing the corporate at about $2.7 billion. On Tuesday Oddity revealed that it had priced its IPO at $35 a share, above expectations. Originally it had targeted ranges of $27 to $30 and on Monday said it was targeting $32 to $35. MILAN – The worldwide appetite for luxury goods continues to be healthy. Bain & Company’s Luxury Goods Worldwide Market Study – Spring 2023, presented on Friday with Altagamma in Milan, shows the non-public luxury goods market is projected to grow between 5 and 12 percent in 2023, or between 360 billion and 380 billion euros,  following a record 12 months in 2022, despite geopolitical tensions and macroeconomic uncertainty. Last 12 months the sector reached a market value of 345 million euros, and by 2030 it's more likely to reach between 530 billion and 570 billion euros. That is around 2.5 times its size in 2020. Andalou Naturals, Mineral Fusion Head to Market – WWD
Mineral Fusion and Andalou Naturals are on the market. The brands, owned by Australian conglomerate BWX, are heading to market, Doug Hosking, BWX’s president of Americas, confirmed to WWD. BWX acquired Mineral Fusion in 2017 for $38.4 million. At the moment, Mineral Fusion had about $24 million in sales; later that 12 months, it also acquired Andalou Naturals. At the moment, the deals gave BWX entry into the U.S. market. Its current brand portfolios include Go-To and Sukin, in response to its website.
