Who Designer Alexander McQueen presented his fall 2009 show in Paris just over ten years ago. For the occasion, McQueen sent models down the runway wearing elegant skirt suits and dresses in shades of red, black and houndstooth that mirrored couture in craftsmanship and execution. Charli XCX’s latest music video celebrates love with otherworldly
Yesterday was a giant day for Charli XCX fans. Not only did the singer announce her third album, and first in five years, revealing the duvet and tracklist for the record coming September 13 but she also dropped the video for her latest single “Blame It On Your Love” featuring Lizzo. Directed by Bradley & Pablo, fresh off of Rosalia’s ode to nails “Aute Cuture,” the video opens as a take-off of Calvin Klein’s #MyCalvins campaign (“I evolved in 2023”), as an otherworldly forged of characters is introduced. There’s Karla and Anika the fertility nymphs, and Melissa and Clara the K9 filterheads (imagine the Master from Buffy but when dogs and never bats were the source of vampires).
