India’s Recent Beauty Store: Tira – WWD
India’s beauty market has a recent entrant. Launching with three strides in a single step, Reliance Retail Ltd. has given the Indian beauty market a very recent twist with the launch of beauty brand Tira — debuting a physical store, an e-commerce site and an app in early April. India’s beauty and private care market is estimated to generate roughly $16 billion in 2022 based on Euromonitor International. MICHAEL BUCKNER/WWD Gucci has launched its first ultra-luxe Salon store concept in L.A., complete with fresh-off-the-red-carpet gowns. The 4,380-square-foot space is on the prime corner of Melrose Place and Melrose Avenue in an ivy-covered constructing that for years was occupied by Marc Jacobs. He first put the sleepy, leafy street of antique dealers on the luxurious fashion map when he opened his store there in 2005, resulting in the arrival of Bottega Veneta, Balmain, Chloé, Oscar de la Renta, Marni, Golden Goose and plenty of more on what’s develop into certainly one of L.A.’s toniest industrial thoroughfares. Todd Snyder Opens Chicago Store in Lincoln Park Neighborhood
Todd Snyder has opened his first store in Chicago. Dubbed “The Townhouse,” the shop is situated within the Armitage-Halsted Historic District in Lincoln Park on the bottom floor of a Victorian-era brick townhouse inbuilt 1877. The shop features pressed-metal cornices and original ornate window details on the outside while inside, the space takes its inspiration from Snyder’s Liquor Store location in Latest York’s Tribeca neighborhood. Handcrafted wood displays and board and batten partitions are painted in olive, the brand’s trademark color. The focus of the space is a custom built-in and fully stocked bar, complete with brass-accented glass vitrines and Carrera marble countertops.
