PARIS — Zara unveiled its latest flagship on the famed Avenue des Champs-Élysées, which integrates futuristic tech, with a deal with fashion and customer support. It’s all a part of Zara’s drive to upscale the client experience and produce a luxury feel to the fast-fashion brand under Inditex non-executive chair Marta Ortega Perez, who took the reins last 12 months. Her aesthetic is integrated into the shop’s design, with marble floors and ceilings to bring light into the cavernous 29,100-square-foot space. Display furniture is made from limestone and oak, and the shop features brushed steel racks and plenty of open space. Circ’s tech tackles the long-standing problem of recycling poly-cotton blends. It’s the one platform to successfully separate poly-cotton blended textile waste and get better each cellulosic cotton and artificial polyester. It then turns them into latest fibers and textiles. The corporate goals to scale back the necessity for virgin textiles in the provision chain. Currently, just one percent of poly-cotton blends are recycled. Zara Parent Company Sells Russian Stores

PARIS — The Russian government has approved Zara parent company Inditex’s bid to sell its business to UAE-based Daher Group. Inditex shuttered its 514 stores within the country in February 2022, following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The corporate announced its intent to transfer 245 stores to Daher Group last October, pending the approval of the country’s commission on foreign investments. Businesses from Western countries Russia deems “unfriendly” must receive the approval of the commission to sell their operations there. Daher created Fashion and More Management DMCC was created for the transaction. UAE is deemed a “friendly country,” which was key to the deal.
