Converse Names Jared Carver as Latest President, Chief Executive Officer
Converse has a latest leader. Jared Carver has been named president and chief executive officer of the Nike-owned brand, effective June 1. Carver’s promotion is a component of a bigger leadership realignment that Nike revealed last week. He succeeds G. Scott Uzzell, who was named vp/general manager for North America of Nike. Carver was most recently vp and general manager of North America of Converse, its largest countryside, for the past 4 years and was instrumental in driving the brand’s growth from $1.9 billion in fiscal yr 2019 to $2.3 billion in fiscal yr 2022. LONDON — Jeanne Damas has landed in London’s Mayfair with a store for her fashion and sweetness brand, Rouje. “It’s funny because just a few years ago after I wasn’t searching for boutiques or anything, I used to be walking in London, and I walked on these streets, which I believed were beautiful for shopping,” said Damas, who got here across South Molton Street again when she was looking for a spot for her store. She plans to open boutiques in key countries, including Spain, Germany and the U.S., which is considered one of her biggest markets, along along with her home country of France.
