Roger Vivier Debuts Viv’ Choc Collection of One-of-a-kind Creations
PIÈCE UNIQUE: Roger Vivier made its first showing during couture since artistic director Gherardo Felloni joined the label, presenting a set of one-of-a-kind handbags intended to have a good time the peak of French craftsmanship. The 15 designs, based on one among the brand’s classics, the Viv’ Choc bag with its rectangular clasp, feature a spread of embellishments and craft techniques, from plumasserie to embroideries with a whole bunch of shivering natural pearls. The Colibri design, for instance, was inspired by the 1959 “Choc” heel designed by Roger Vivier, with which he innovated by integrating feathers traditionally utilized in hat-making. Remo Ruffini Picks Up Honorary Degree at University of
LONDON — Remo Ruffini has joined fellow creatives including Banksy, Norman Foster and Bob Geldof in accepting an honorary degree from the University of the Creative Arts, which has campuses in Surrey and in Kent, England. Ruffini, the chief executive officer, chairman and owner of Moncler, received an honorary degree of arts in fashion and entrepreneurship “in recognition of his outstanding contribution to fashion and business.” On Tuesday Ruffini donned his cap and gown and attended a graduation ceremony on the Royal Festival Hall in London. He received the degree alongside a whole bunch of scholars graduating from UCA, which offers courses in fields including architecture, fashion, advantageous art, photography, film and inventive business.
