The Personal Care Products Council on Wednesday appointed Thomas F. Myers chief executive officer. The appointment will go into effect in January.
Myers, who has been with the council since 2010, acts as executive vice chairman for legal and regulatory affairs and general counsel. Prior to joining the council, he worked at the USA Chamber of Commerce as a regulatory counsel for environment and energy, in addition to in international law.
Myers will succeed Lezlee Westine, who has led the council as president and CEO since 2009. Under Westine’s leadership, the PCPC has hosted industry summits, published sustainability reports and most recently, pushed for the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act, which is able to require brands to be more transparent...
