Precision is truly the hallmark of an haute couture. Innovation is ideal, but it must be deft. I think Kim is innovative. This feels fresh to me. What it does not feel, though…is precise. Maybe his attention to detail was ultra meticulous, but I'm not really seeing that. I'm sure those micropallettes were hand affixed one by one, but the work get's lost in the haphazardness of it all. They're beautiful gowns and despite his apparent obsession with this sickly color palette, I still really love it all. However, I must judge this on my standard of a couture presentation. From where I'm sitting, it looks rushed. It probably was….Kim really does too much. When your focus is so adulterated, it's difficult to fully realize anything.

I really miss Fendi Couture during Lagerfeld's era. He made clothes so magical, enchanting yet playful and ever-changing. Each piece he designs tells its own story but we still could see the theme of the entire collection.
