There’s just over every week until the US presidential election, and an unexpected candidate has come forward: Ariana Grande. Within the video for her latest single, “positions”, the singer proves she has what it takes to run the country, as she steps into the highest White House position.
Directed by Dave Meyers, the clip sees Grande lead meetings, sign papers within the Oval Office, and host press conferences, all while serving serious looks. The track is the lead single from her upcoming album, which is about to reach on October 30.
Grande teased the record – which shall be her sixth studio album – last week, tweeting news of its imminent arrival. The week before (October 7), she told fans she would release latest music in the event that they registered to vote.
Her upcoming album shall be the primary because the release of thank u, next in 2019. Since then, Grande has collaborated with Lady Gaga on “Rain on Me”, co-written BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez’s track, “Ice Cream”, created the soundtrack for the brand new Charlie’s Angels film, and performed on the VMAs. Outside of music, she’s just joined the forged for Adam McKay’s latest Netflix comedy, Don’t Look Up, which can also be set to star Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, and more.
