Of course, none of this would have been possible without the genius of Costumer Colleen Atwood! Hear more about Mad Hatters in episode 45: When Looks Kill of the Heart Starts Pounding podcast. Linked here and wherever you get your podcasts

it’s crazy how johnny depp hardly ever looks like johnny depp in some of his movies 😭😭
@raptorjesus7436
The accessories on his hat aren’t old to make hats, but a ticket and hat pins generally used by women to keep their hats in place by pinking them through their buns, these were generally sold in millinary shops where the hats themselves were sold after the manufacturing.
I also love the detail on the fingers. Thimble, bandages and redness from pricking needles
@christinaburney5935
Painters used to always end up in asylums too because of the toxic paint. It caused brain damage.

unpopular opinion: Mad Hatter is hot
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
@syahgisi4226
I remember watching this movie for the first time and really loving the design choices for his character, I loved how whimsical yet off putting the hatter was.
I mean the costume design alone is amazing!
@user-yw3fv6os4l
As if he chose his outfit
@pnwlady
It’s funny how much Johnny Depp looks like Elijah Wood as the mad hatter.
@hdjksa52
Dude came a long way since 21 jump Street
@Kellbell00
Not so fun fact, Johnny Depp is best friends with Marilyn Manson. They have both openly acknowledged that Salo is their favorite movie. Salo is one of the darkest, and most disturbing films ever created. It is illegal in many countries. Johnny Depp is secretly evil. Mark my words

😮😳😳
@JustSayin-ur9su
The makeup didn't complete the assignment but everything else did 👌🏾
@stephaniepereira8116
Why can’t people stop breaking things down and just enjoy it
@Madhatter-q7f
It’s me!!!
@bluetreefiddy
I was always wondering in the live action why the hatter was so pail
@jbirdnanny
I always think Johnny Depp looks like Elijah Wood when he’s dressed as the Mad Hatter.
@Anne-gs7tr
The costumer did these things. And those are hat pins…not tools.
@negativeprime
Bro looked like Frodo Baggins as the Joker
@berniemae9205
Johnny Depp is just the best isn’t he?? He truly loved acting and put his entire energy into bringing his characters to life! He is and always will my favorite actor!❤ no matter what he chooses to do in life He is truly an artist!
@LonelyLoki9
Ahhh reminds me of Boston Corbett
@mp-iw6kx
He ruined that movie..
@redcapmilk
Why are we talking like depp did that?
@fookinavocado
why are you giving johnny depp credit for the costuming??? he's just an actor and there are whole other teams of people that put that detail in, the fuck?
@carlinkag2525
Was it really him or just the costume department? Why is he getting credit?
@bejitybb
Was it depp or his costumer? Those people deserve their credit where it’s earned.
@wetstinkysocks2950
His accent changed all time during the film too lol ppl say its a character inconsistency but id like to that just adds to madness ❤
@peterpae5424
Johnny Depp is the goat
@BioMoney
Mad Cobbler

@josie3571

@AnthonyMason-ur8zw
Wow, very very interesting. 😮😮😮
@megteg
Ya but the second movie shows him in the past with the rest of the batters and NONE of the others look like him. Kinda ruined it for me
@MadeleineKarlsson-pe4jc
You think the choices was because of Jonny Depp.?
@mirandarockwell9774
The city I was raised in is called "Hat city home of the mad hatters" Because there used to be hat factories in it.
@danamardell1209
Do you think this is insteresting?
@mamavibetribe8878
They are hat pins in his hat not tools. And JD is a drunk that phoned in most performances. Let's credit the make up artists and costume designers that made this happen.
@idchunn
Ngl, the mad hatter costume has to be one of my favorite in movies🛐
@Debra-bd1nj
A costume designer did it
@nunyab.1678
He looks like elijah wood.
@SummerAlleriaWindrunner
I think maybe those are hat pins instead of tools. The kind from back in the day.
