Monroe, how long did it take your abs to develop? I'll be 43 soon and recently lost 30lbs. But my stomach did not tighten. I contribute that to age but I just need to put in more work.

Love the home shopping content! It’s good to break it up to just a few each video. Renovating and dealing with contractors is a headache 😣 strongly consider a turn-key.

I have a brownstone built in 1915 & though I've renovated my home quite a bit I've kept much of the character. It's a shame when its all up dated totally without some of its original character.

I love a cat eye too and I don’t wear falsies either. Couldn’t get into it. I love a natural look and yours is beautiful. I do want to try the Laura mercier translucent powder. I think that would level up my day to day look.
I would go with the charm of a home. And also think about the potential value you can add to the home that you can’t to an already updated one. The first house does remind me of a brownstone my paternal grandmother lived in and I think it’s beautiful.

You will not regret going for the home with more character and renovating it (you get to capture the increase in value/ appreciation vs. an already renovated home). My fiancé and I purchased a 100 year old home (with all the insane character details I love) and renovated it vs a move-in ready home. Best decision ever! Plus we got to move walls and make it exactly perfect for our use case. That 1st home with 4000sqft…. GIRLL!! I would have snatched that up immediately. Yes the reno will take 1+ year… but if its your forever home it's worth it.

Anywho, the way my geriatric motherhood is setup #4 is the one but I know our lifestyles are different and you’re looking for character. I’ve bought a house that needed renovations and it was just too overwhelming. House #3 was nice too. Girl, them abs! I absolutely love looking at houses with character! And when you said you were going to be looking at homes in NYC….well. The NYC Brownstone is so iconic! I want so much to own one like the 1st one you looked at. Of course, I would want to update it, but keep as much of the historical character as possible, yes that would be a huge undertaking but as a dream home, it would be so worth it!! I also love remodels, and the last one was so well done. But my heart is with that first one! Thanks for sharing!! 💕💕

Love the home hunting within your videos, and maybe you have to purchase a home that you renovate, as you said, 'make it your own'. It could take nine months, and you still not find what you want because it needs your touch. x

Congratulations and much success on your NYC house search.❤ If you are planning to do a fixer, you should take a general contractor with you, so they can give you a realistic estimate of how much everything will cost. I see it all the time where folks get in over their head thinking they can do a fixer, and it’s much more complicated and expensive than looks on TV.

My faves were #1 and #4. Having gone through a full gut renovation during which I wanted to literally throttle my contractor, it is not for the faint of heart. If your contractor tells you it will take 8 months, add 4 to 5 months extra, just in case. Same for budget. Add extra to whatever budget you think you need.

I absolutely love that cinnamon tea it was gifted to me in a variety pack and since I’ve been on the whole 30 which allows no sugar or sugar substitute and that Cinnamon tea has become my savior and best friend 😂. Love the house tours especially house 2 and 4 🥰.
