Pete’s growing film and comedy profession also affected their relationship: add in long distance, their 12-year age difference, and a very different set of priorities, and signs of their incompatibility became too big to disregard. Despite their red hot chemistry, Pete just wasn’t mature or stable enough for Kim to see him as a protracted term partner. It was an excessive amount of, too soon, especially right after her divorce from Kanye West.
So far as we all know, Kim and Pete remain on one another’s good side after their split. But it surely seems like they simply weren’t compatible enough to make things work in the long term. What makes me so mad about Hollywood and these tea channels is how surface level everyone is. Pete is known to have BPD and one of the things with having that mental illness is impulsivity and unstable relationships. Pete has talked about being treated for his BPD but at the end of the day there is no end all cure all.
Part of the reason for his short relationships are the people he allows himself to be in relationships with which is sad to watch. All his exes either used him as a rebound, or for some sort of personal gain even ariana tbh. Yes, she loved Pete but the timing between them getting together and then getting engaged was a whirlwind romance from the start.
I honestly feel like they love bombed eachother into an engagement and thankfully they realized it wasn't going to work before it was too late.
I also feel like Kim also used Pete as a rebound and an act of revenge toward Kanye. She used this man who loves his women hard, to get personal gain out of it only to drop him months later and right before a new season of their show comes out. Like you should have left the man alone from the jump, Kim.
Stop calling the side effects of his mental illness that he can't always control, a red flag when people are using this man behind the scenes and right in front of our eyes. It's disgusting behavior and as someone who also has bpd I'm sick of hearing slander about Pete when it comes to his relationships. Idc if he's in the public eye or not. Leave the man alone.
