If the children die then getting them hooked on it… isn't the real reason for the cartels putting it in candy wrappers. The real reason is to get it into the U.S. I don't think it will get to a child bc the users want it for themselves & its expensive. Also , checking your child's candy isn't going to solve the problem bc if the parent touches the drug they could die from it…not to mention the child already touched it to get it from the person who gave it to them. So… Unlikely going to happen. If your worried just buy a bag of assortment Halloween candies & don't trick or treat. That's what I do anyways with my kids. We just have a party at home with Halloween movies & treats I make & buy.

So it's a couple days after halloween, how many stories have you heard about children getting drugs in their candy? The answer is probably absolutely zero! So once again Fox News capitalized on the ignorance and stupidity of its brain dead viewers.
They always have some new fear mongering tactic up their sleeves, and you ignorant hillbillies fall for it every single time.

He passed out when he was home and he ended up going to the hospital for a couple days! ???? he came back to school today and he had to go home because he was dizzy! ???????????? he said he’s never going to go trick-or-treating ever again!!! I agree with him..????????

I pray all children were safe this halloween and no one found any drugs in their childrens candy. We did not get any T.O.Ters this year. I think a lot of parents stopped even letting their kids go out anymore.

Bs. They are shippingit in candypackagine goping to evade detection. They arent interested in selling pills to 5 6 7 8 uear olds. Teens arent gonna be tempted to buy $20 pieces of candy. Teens know what they are. This is prophanda fear mongering some americans just love the attention so they spew the most ridiculous things.

The likelihood it would end up in the Halloween candy is low, but there is a press conference about it?

Another example of the media fear mongering. "Here's 2 guys who overdosed while trying to get high, here is how they are smuggling fentnyl (candy wrappers)" so they suggest drug dealers will give away a $2,000 bag of opioid.

Just give me a damn break. Do you know how much these drugs cost and do you know that these drug dealers have no desire to give out free drugs just for a laugh? People really are this stupid. Just like in the 80s where there were rumors of razor blades in people's candy and apples. There has never been a single recorded case of someone putting a damn razor in kid's candy. They do this to ruin Halloween for the kids. They don't want you skipping down the street all happy and celebrating an American holiday. They want you in the house with a mask on, not outside trick or treating.

I find it hard to believe cartels are just shipping them in candy boxes for Halloween free samples to people that will die in an instant. Not being addicted

Obviously they were trying to just get it shipped and distributed to the dealers without getting it confiscated. I don’t think anyone involved in this trade is trying to give their products away for free. Not to adults and not to children.

illegal drugs cut with fentanyl is a real problem. halloween candy is not. if someone wanted to poison halloween candy there would be much more potent options. this is just absurd. im not a parent but if the person giving your child candy was suspicious, just throw out that candy.

Sorry, but you're crazy if you let your kids trick-or-treat now. It's just not worth it anymore. Sad, but that's the reality.
