I love the way the Maison Balmain cultivated the topic of diversity without being cliche. This is a true contemporary show where Black and White model blend together, in poetry and in crossing generations and time.

While i liked some of the looks from this collection, it was more hit and miss compared to his menswear collection. The fruit motif in the jewelry and some of the clothes was visually stunning. But what in the Edith Head was going on with the shoulder pads? They were so extreme. Shorter women and fuller figure women may have a hard time pulling off that silhouette. Otherwise, i am so glad to see the resurgence of luxury ( not just with Balmain just all around). Kudos.

Great collection. The tailoring is superb – exceptionally skilfull – & fabrics are exquisite.
Only observation/criticisme is that sometimes the element of fun/joy & lightness is missing & some of garments are kind of "somber "& "too serious".(difficult to explain) .The platform shoes added heaviness/clumsiness as well to some of the garments. Some of the embroideries around the dresses a bit Xmas garlands. Bit Schiaparelli in parts.
As l said is a small observation & I'm just been very picky. A lot of work has gone into a very good collection & Mr Rounsteing is an amazing/creative designer..

Wow! I'm just so extremely excited to finally start to see more designers become more overtly whimsical and outrageous with what they create. So many different areas of interest this show has. It's bold it's Gianni Versace it's gaudy prints. It's rich details it's gaslight the dress @ 8:53 is very hypnotic. Was that Bella Hadid in this show or am I trippin?

I dont know about you, but I like it. I like his new luxurious direction. He has really evolved, and women over 30 can enjoy his clothes, as well. I'm happy for the direction that Balmain is heading in. All his work has been wonderful, and these past few collections show his growth and willingness to expand and evolve the Balmain woman and man.

As an abstract expressionist painter and stylist , i've read a few of the bull shit – negative comments and feel we've become "TOO" bratty and opinionated without realizing what it took for this collection to be presented to you . Oh , i hate everything , oh , i would'nt wear this or that , blah , bah , blah !!!…designers are artists – creators that "CREATE" , so its damn sure not all about your goddamn needs all the time ( or at all !, truthfully speaking … coming from a creator ! ) . The consumer has become so narcissistic and to be able to look at a wonderful presentation and feel their two cents have value !…Loved the designs ❤❤❤
