In favor of this. My son attends and last year was an absolute nightmare. Bravo to this principal! And now on the heels of this bathroom story a girl is found with a gun??!! And that right there is why this principal is implementing these strict standards. As a parent, I want something put in place so I can feel better about my son attending school without me or his grandparents picking him up only to be greeted by SEVERAL TPD's on campus. That scenario was almost a daily visual last year!

I used to go that school in 9th grade. It's seems it been changes about two years ago since now I am in 11th grade. They shouldn't closes the bathroom, that's makes matter even worse, I just suggest them to punish the bad ones who keeps doing things that they shouldn't be doing in the bathroom and give them a lunch detention, teacher and parents conference, or suspend them.

Some kids weren't taught how to use a bathroom in the proper manner I remember going to middle school in Dade City 1978 they used to mess the bathrooms up so bad that you couldn't even use them it was terrible

I totally understand the reason why this principal at Hillsborough HS making this new bathroom policy for the kids. And, I do not feel that it was the actions of just a few kids that led to the principal's decision either. The principal is trying something because they want to curb student's bad behavior and also keep students as safe as possible while bathrooms are in use. And, Ido not feel that this principal made this decision without making special provisions for the students who are disabled either. The principal probably felt that at the very least something had to be done because of all the incidents of bullying, drug use and probably reports of students being caught having sex in the bathrooms, basically the kind of incidents that some high schools are still in 2022 too afraid to admit happening out loud. Hopefully some ironing out a solid long term solution will happen, however the reasoning for the bathroom policy is completely understandable.
