Beauty PR firm Behrman Communications has brought on executive vp Gianna Cesa as partner, and shall be often known as Behrman-Cesa Communications.
Founded in 1985 by Nancy Behrman with one client — Kiehl’s — the firm has offices in Recent York and Los Angeles and has worked with corporations including It Cosmetics, Illume and Irene Forte Skincare.
“We plan on growing the business. We’ve specialized in beauty and wellness, and we plan to take a rather more global approach with that,” said Behrman, who will proceed to move up the firm alongside Cesa.
“It is a legacy business that Nancy built a real foundation for,” said Cesa, who first joined the corporate in 2010 as an account executive. “We all know the core of what works for us will at all times be an element of our strategy, and the vision for the longer term is how can we proceed to adapt to what the market needs — what’s next?”
Behrman-Cesa Communications has roughly 40 clients in the sweetness, wellness and lifestyle realms and a workforce of slightly below 30. Near-term priorities include continuing to assist clients forge relationships with retailers and personal equity firms, in addition to “expanding the portfolio — we love a white space; we love with the ability to create and construct,” said Behrman.
“What our agency is best known for is taking small, conceptual ideas, getting behind the brand and having faith within the founders, and taking them through sale,” said Behrman, who worked with each Kiehl’s and Coola until their respective sales to L’Oréal and SC Johnson.
