Victoria Beckham is understood to be an excellent fan of cult skincare brand Augustinus Bader, but not as big as makeup guru Bobbi Brown.
Brown, best known for her eponymous makeup line that’s now owned by The Estée Lauder Cos., is such an enormous fan that Augustinus Bader has appointed her chief creative adviser, a recent role.
“Like all the pieces that I’ve at all times been involved with, things just occur organically and authentically,” Brown, who went on from her namesake beauty brand to found clean makeup and skincare line Jones Road, told WWD of the partnership. “It began because I even have a really, very close relationship to their CFO David Nass, who was my chief financial officer all of the years that I used to be at Bobbi. And principally, he’s type of the guy that taught me all the pieces I want to learn about business.
“He went over to work with Bader and I first never heard of it, then in fact he sent me the Wealthy Cream, and I used to be like, ‘what is that this?’ And I began using it and I used to be like, ‘oh, my gosh, I can get anything gifted to me and I used to be like that is the best thing.’ I saw an easy difference the primary time I used it and I became an excellent fan,” she added. “It was the primary time that I can keep in mind that something made a difference in our skin and it was in the course of the pandemic I used to be introduced over a Zoom to Charles [Rosier, cofounder and chief executive officer of Augustinus Bader] and truthfully it’s the language that I talk.”
She began posting concerning the brand and talking about it in interviews, in addition to offering Rosier advice and he later approached her about making their relationship more official.
“All of this was very informal and now it’s just the following chapter. We just desired to formalize this friendship and mutual respect in business,” said Rosier. “She has a number of experience within the industry and a number of respect from people within the industry, and we’re a recent company, and we at all times welcome the energy of those who truly and organically cross our paths and say ‘OK, how can we do more?”
As chief creative adviser, Brown will proceed her personal and skilled support for Augustinus Bader by working in close collaboration on creative and product ideation, educational programs, promotional activations, marquee events, and more.
“I even have such an enormous experience each for product development, packaging, being the chief creative officer of my old brand and understanding marketing, so I understand the old world and I actually understand the brand new world, which is how Jones Road has grown, so I see such potential for this brand beyond what they’re doing. And truthfully, they’re killing it already, they usually’ve only scratched the surface,” Brown added.
As for if there could possibly be a collaboration between Augustinus Bader and Jones Road, Brown said “never say never.”
“I could definitely see something in the longer term and I do know individuals are probably going to ask, well Jones Road has skincare and Bader has skincare, and I’m like yes but I see them working together. I’ve organically used my beloved formula, which is the wealthy cream, and I take advantage of it on my skin under the Jones Road because I like over moisture, sometimes I like just a little little bit of oil. So I do see them working thoroughly together.”
