camila mendes isn’t any stranger to the highlight, having starred in Riverdale since 2017 and portraying the lovable yet hateable Drea in Do Revenge last 12 months. However the actor only recently became a skin-care enthusiast, a lot in order that she recently became the face of her favorite face mask brand, Loops.
“Before RiverdaleI wasn’t someone who wore quite a lot of makeup or had an extensive skin-care routine,” Mendes admits. “But after I began spending hours and hours wearing heavy makeup on set, I saw that my skin was suffering and knew I needed to do more for myself.” At the top of the day, Mendes knows she’s a minimalist “at heart,” even with regards to skincare. “But when my skin needs some extra TLC, I’ll adjust my routine accordingly,” she says.
The 28-year-old can be admittedly a skin picker, a habit that Loops products have played an enormous part in helping her curb and treat. “Each time I even have a blemish, I’ll destroy it and pick at it until it bleeds, after which it becomes a wound that eventually scars, so hyperpigmentation is one in every of my biggest ongoing concerns,” Mendes says. “Loops’ Hyper Smooth helps even out my skin tone after I’m attempting to erase the residual dark spots.”
Occasional picking aside, Mendes has come a great distance as a skin-care aficionado since starting her Loops journey. “If there’s anything I’ve learned since becoming creative director at Loops, it’s the importance of preserving your skin’s natural barrier,” she says.
