To me poor Matthieu. This is what happens when your bosses listen so much to the critics of the hoi polloi. Karl did heart shaped bags and colors and terry cloth pieces but these were torn apart when Viard did it. I expect feminine tailoring, sharp but not a derivation. Maybe what the world needs is the opinion of a somewhat middle-ish opinion. Still it’s a debut…

Aveces extraño a Karl en sus shows, nos daba fantasía en los maquillajes, peinados y accesorios (más allá de las prendas), hace mucho que la mayoria de las modelos son presentadas con maquillaje natural y cabellos sueltos o recogidos con poca creatividad. Encima los shows de chanel destacaba la musica, ahora ni eso. Igual deseo lo mejor para la marca pues sus shows son mis favoritos. Esperare el Metiers dart espero que pueda jugar mas

The beginning of the collection was bland & boring. The jacket & trousers & skirts pretty awful.
Got better towards the end, with the tweed & color combinations.

Phenomenal. This is how you revitalize a house! Its still Chanel, but just enough. This house NEEDS evolution! They can still make cashmere twinsets and tweed jackets for their clientele, but the SHOWS need new and exciting fashion. We just need this momentum to continue. Best debut of the season, and yes that includes Demna at Gucci and Louise at BV.

新的呢格紋布料質感很美，看起來質感改變後的布料設計發展的可能性更為多元。的確有幾件非常好看的搭配與設計。
但是我還是覺得有一個主設計師很重要。雖然Chanel的設計團隊在製衣方面的工藝精湛。但一個 collection 若是缺乏 coherence，這個 collection 就沒有辦法利用衣服說出一個打動人心的故事。秀場的呈現也很重要，但故事若沒有核心主旨，秀場的布置（尤其是燈光）很難呈現出這些衣服的特色。主設計師可以主導一個collection 的主要走向和故事的完整性。
我雖不是製衣專業人士，但故事説不好跟故事沒有辦法完整的被呈現，絕對是行銷上的一大傷害。

that did not look like a collection of the worlds most expensive clothes. some of the stripes did not match up on the sides of the check skirts. sleeved not sewn in properly. only a few outfits at the end were given the Chanel treatment. most everything looked like it can already be bought on the high street. shoes so uncomfortable one model had to take them off and walk bare foot. only one dress (black with flowers) had a hem that walked amazingly. bags boring and dull. the first few woollen suits were just dull, dull dull. if i was one of the world richest women, i wouldn't buy. if i was the daughter of the worlds richest woman i wouldn't buy. if i was the granny of the worlds richest woman i wouldn't buy. its really not much better than the stuff Karl's replacement was making. with all the hype surrounding the new hire, i really expected more. Galliano would have been the right man for the job. this new guy doesn't have the originality.
