The Extra Mile Ever since launching her eponymous brand nearly a decade ago, Anabela Chan’s aim has been to make jewellery in a more ethical and eco-conscious way.
“I desired to create beautiful, red-carpet worthy high quality jewellery using laboratory-grown gemstones, relatively than mined gemstones,” she tells Clara Amfo in the most recent episode of BMW and British Vogue’s The Extra Mile series. “Lots of people thought I used to be crazy on the time.”
Fast-forward to today, and Chan can be now working to include “sky diamonds”, comprised of carbon dioxide taken from the atmosphere, into her designs. “For me, that’s where the thrill is,” the jewellery designer says. “There isn’t any end to what is feasible with science and innovation.”

Her designs are gorgeous and just out of this world, so much more superior than her competitors. Plus the whole fact that it's environmentally friendly and free from the unethical aspects of mining (like child slavery, labour and violent conflicts) makes it much more desirable for me.
I think her background in architecture definitely helped create the sophisticated and immaculately-detailed jewelleries too ????????.
