MONAT is a pyramid scheme but they have good products . Rejuvinique oil is worth the money.
Coach Tash
Thanks Mel!!! ❤

Will shampoos with both SLS and silicones actually clean my hair? I dont really understand why they put silicone in shampoo
PlantBrownie
I knew Curly Gorl method wasn't for me when I tried coaching and my hair looked and felt horrible.
Also, yeah Monat isn't great. Bought it from a friend and it sucked.
Mariah Zalera
its funny that gen-z is using the term Chuegy to describe millennials as "dated" and "trying too hard" , meanwhile they're out here replicating every 90's and 2010's trend. It makes no sense…
MJ Z
Have I mentioned your voice reminds me of Sandra Bullock
FreeBird
Ok so first off.. the hair, the look, the video and all of it on point as usual but what I'm loving is your jewelry!!!! Gorgeous!! I wanttt!

Would be interesting to see people change their copper hair to blues , silvers and platinum. I’ll look forward to them on Hair Buddhas channel

Just taking a moment to say how much I LOVE your darker hair!
K E
As a natural ash blonde, I almost feel dissed. 🙂
Gotta agree with the cooper hair love though. I've been dyeing my hair some form of red for longer than I care to admit. I just felt more "me" as a redhead. But it fades so quickly and my hair was constantly damaged. Last year I tried natural dyes, loved those at first but quickly grew disenchanted. So I ended up chopping it all off and growing it out. My hair is definitely healthier and shinier, but every time I see a picture of a redhead I get that red hair envy, and it makes me want to go back!
Shirin Ramezankhani
That hair color on you though. Gorgeous. You look so good with dark hair, sooo good.
John Smith
your hair looks amazing!!!

If blue is coming then I hope they sell good looking curly colored clips ins.

I’m like Beyoncé with hair color ???? I dyed my hair ginger/copper/reddish in the early 2010s and I’ve never looked back ever since ???? sometimes it’s darker ginger, other times it’s lighter ginger ????????♀️ it just goes so well with my skin color. If my hair was dark brown/black, my skins greenish undertones are more noticeable. And if I have a tan with dark hair, my skin pulls more of a dirty looking greenish brown color ???? not sun-kissed by the sun at all ???????? I blame my parents diverse ancestry ????
Marni Carron
Red-grets is my new favorite term! As a bottle ginger I have gone through stages of red-gret on my way to my current color.
CC Alexander
I have been red for almost a year and I plan on staying red for awhile.

Does anyone know if the Olaplex 4C shampoo is a chelating shampoo for a wash before applying the K18 mask?
Rocio Cisneros
Great video as always ????

Mell on your Amazon you have mazani products why do you not feature them on here?

Hi Mel I followed your video where you taught your sister how to cut her own hair posted May/2020. My hair has grown a lot over the last few years, I believe it has to do with going through menopause. I wanted to give my hair some life and do long layers but can’t afford to get it professionally cut. So I did it myself with the help of your video. It doesn’t look bad but could use advice on how to blend the face framing layers! My hair is straighter around my face and very top than in the back and underneath. I’m on the journey of finding the right kind of products for my hair since my hair has turned more curly than wavy. If you have any recommendations on how to blend the face framing layers please share. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and helping people to be able to cut and style their hair themselves!

I didn’t hear most of what you said because I was too busy looking at your hair ????
Andrea Retzloff
I am one of those people that my natural hair is the ugliest color and washes me out. So I’ve been coloring my hair copper for 4 years now… I’m naturally dirty/ ash blonde and the copper looks so natural. Dark ash blonde looks basically grey. And not the pretty grey!
Andrea Retzloff
I wonder if perms are going to come back…. ????

I predict that along with all the scalp detox/purifying products Mel mentioned, we will see more "clean products" as brands realize that many consumers don't want products that cause bad build up or have harmful ingredients that can clog up. I saw in 2022 that it got a little bit easier to find products that were sulfate silicone paraben free with naturally derived ingredients in my local target. so 2023 may bring more clean type products as the standard (?)
Sew At Home
100% DIY will be it. I started cutting my own hair in lockdown. Started cutting my sons hair from his very first hair cut. My husband thought I did a good job. Moved on to cutting his hair too. ????

We see you trying many different products for us but is consistency of brands and products better for your hair, or does it really not matter?

I’d love to see a few videos for us older gals. In our 60s done with colouring our hair. How can I colour with a melange of greys (salt and pepper) Get rid of the sad blonde ends and have a glorious head of grey(s) curls. Also suggest local salons that can truly manage colouring grey hair. Thx. Love your videos.
karinac1999
Great video. So much things. OK, so first, thank you for mentioning monat. I know someone who was using and selling and I always wondered if it was good. Glad I never bought it. Unfortunately, my natural color is black with lots of gray, mostly temples and crown. I started going gray at 25 so it's stubborn and a lot. I want to just let it grow out but the mix of the colors with the curls makes me look old. So I am dying lighter so that it'll blend better. Unfortunately, I had to get rid of my beautiful red color to go blondish/ashy. But I have ideas on how to spice it up a bit ????. Mell, I want to know the products and the routine you've been using lately. Your hair has been ???????????????? in all your IG vids.

My twin sister has redgrets!????????????
Safirog1
Wow loving her hair. Her bangs look so much better.
Joanny Diez
Thank you for pointing out that Monat is a pyramid scheme. This company is just taking advantage of people and it needs to be talked about much more
Ohellzbellz4
Very excited about the inclusivity coming. Also PLEASE do a tutorial on curly boys / short hair – I have to cut my sons hair because he has sensory issues and I clip the sides and back but like to keep it longer on top and would love some tips on how to enhance his 2c curls/waves (also more wavy tutorials please) THAAAAANKS 🙂

Hi Mell! What do you think about custom products from brands like Prose? Do they really work?
Potato.
I personally would love for hair care for loc'd hair to get more attention in an informed, factual light and to see loctitians make their way into salons.
I think seeing stylists start to work with locs and talk about them properly would be amazing. Then I could go to someone for treatments and tailored care instead of just the basics with a dash of improper care. And folks would be able to get decent dye jobs instead of thinking its normal for their roots to be hot and for their ends to break off. I totally understand why some folks wouldn't agree, but it is still hair that needs to be nourished and cared for, and I think that's a proper part of the journey. I only know of one popular loctitian who cares for the hair on a professional level with proper techniques, and I've only found one who talks about locs based in facts instead of popularized hearsay or personal opinion.
It's tricky because there's culture attached to it, which is why I suspect some haven't touched the subject, but it feels similar to how you (still) can't walk into most hair salons and get proper care for curly hair. But one step at a time, I suppose! I'm happy to see attention towards curly hair increase as a previously (still?) curly person.

I always smile when your videos come up,best wishes from sunny Spain ????????

Glad to hear copper trend will end because now I can bask in my ginger curls.
Blue Panda ????
I’m 30 and only developed curls after shaving my head a few years ago. I can’t figure out how to get any type of definition or volume on top of my head! If I get any definition: flat. If there’s any volume: puffed Cheeto curls! There’s GOT to be a secret I just don’t know ????

I’m naturally board-straight blonde. I don’t think anything natural is cheugy.

How do I know if I need a styling gel or cream to help control humidity frizz? Currently using Vicious Curls products.

I try rosemary water but i actually dont like the smell of rosemary

I would love to see you showing us how to determine which are the best extensions because I have crazy hair loss and don't want to cut my 3 left hair strands

Thank you Mell. I agree with being cruelty free. Nobody should suffer for me to have smooth skin or soft hair. The animals are grateful. Also, great website, cruelty free kitty. They have pretty strict standards.

Please add the silver sisters with the curls, coils and waves. Should I treat it differently..

Cheugy? Is that Chinese lol?
tomatoandbasilsoup
re co-washes – how do you rate the Curlsmith moisurising wash which is basically a co-wash right? thanks
Caterina Santi
I love your videos! Question: Is there a way to have actually LONG and healthy hair if they are thin and break up easily? Or should I give up? One more question, do you people in USA/Canada (you=all the people with curly hair) feel that in the corporate world you are seen as ""weird" if you decide to keep your hair naturally curly instead of styling it the "proper" way as every other person? I don't know maybe it's just here in Italy ????
hoai nguyễn
I am asian girl but my hair very curly. I often go to salon for keep straith. Now they have broken so much. Look badly.
