Has Dries ever missed? I wager not. He is consistently quality, eschewing trend or spectacle to bring us cerebral, approachable luxury. He is the epitome of a design talent who can send looks down a barren runway on models devoid of elaborate styling or distracting embellishment. He strikes the right mood with the music and the atmosphere. And everything always feels new and fresh. He’s a wellspring. How does he do it? Balance. Balance the proportion, balance the weight, balance the texture, balance the hue. Everything conspires to balance and that’s why it feels satisfying without having to be evocative in a traditional sense. Beautiful.
