Fenty’s Body Lava returns bringing with it the viral

Last 12 months, Rihanna’s make-up brand Fenty Beauty got here out with a shimmering body oil, Body Lava. Available in two shades, Who Needs Clothes and Brown Sugar, and with the tagline “who needs clothes?” the Body Lava launched alongside an accompanying tutorial by Rihanna by which the singer, with a sultry stare to the camera, applies the body oil to her shoulder.

With the come-hither eyes and over the shoulder stance, fans were quick to seek out humour within the short tutorial and the recreations began rolling in. Dubbed #bodylavachallenge or #rhiannachallenge, probably the most hilarious parodies got here from the boys of the web who took to the challenge particularly enthusiastically, posting videos of themselves rubbing lotion into their shoulder with a seductive stare and whatever prop they’d handy, whether that be a sock, a mop, or a Timberland.

Whether or not due to the challenge, the shimmering body oil proved extremely popular, quickly selling out, and has been unavailable ever since. Until now that’s.

Earlier this week, Rihanna revealed that on account of popular demand, Body Lava was returning. Taking to Instagram to make the announcement, Badgalriri posted an image of herself shimmering in the daylight with the caption “Back with that latest DRIP!” Limited edition, the 2 original Body Lavas, plus a brand latest shade, Trophy Wife, dropped yesterday. And with the return of body oils, Rihanna is hoping to bring back the viral web challenge.

@badgalriri showed y’all find out how to apply #BODYLAVA last 12 months, and the #BODYLAVACHALLENGE got TOO real 😂🤣 SWIPE LEFT to see! We’re bringing it back! Show us the way you drip in the true #TROPHYWIFE, #BROWNSUGAR, or #WHONEEDSCLOTHES tag us and #BODYLAVACHALLENGE” the Fenty Beauty Instagram account posted today, alongside a number of a few of the perfect recreations.

Socks on the ready.
