Just the considered the cool-toned hue as a lip color is a bit intimidating. But makeup artist Kelli Anne Sewell says keeping the remainder of your makeup minimal helps make gray lipstick suitable for on a regular basis wear.

“Let the grey lipstick be the point of interest of the face,” she says. “Balance it with fresh skin, a daring mascara, and blush.” With regards to picking the suitable shade, Sewell suggests a cool shade with blue undertones — anything too warm starts to look mauve.
