This entire season was really frustrating to watch because Nikki was babied throughout the entire season. She would pull through at the very last second and basically skated by.

I did not expect Nikki to step up like she did with her final look. I would've done Lee vs Ellis based on their looks we saw throughout the season and in the mini challenge in the episode. But I can agree that Nikki did do better than Lee on the final challenge. I think if he took that final look a little further he would've blown Nikki out the water.

We all know that Ellis is going to win. He has been the teachers pet the entire time. Even when his looks are not up to snuff he still gets praised. I think Nikki will be great as a glamour makeup artist where everything is sedate and natural I don't think she could ever do editorial without someone pushing her to do more. Lastly, Lee is good if not a little bit better than Eliss more but I don't think he's going to win. I found it interesting though that we only saw the judges and the photographer and station designer interacting with Nikki and not the others.

If you have severe red-green colourblindness, I can imagine choosing the right tone for someone's foundation feeling like you don't see any tones.
Because our brains see yellow by both the "red" and "green"* cone cells in our eyes being activated, it can mess with your ability to see not just red or green, but yellow, orange and brown as well. People with red-green colourblindness have both types of cones, but their activation ranges overlap more than they typically do. So when looking at green, you should get much more "green" cone activation than "red" (and vice versa with red) but with colourbliness you get both, which results in your brain thinking you're looking at something yellow/brown tones (brown because that's usually just dark yellows and oranges)
You'll be able to see the value (how light or dark the colour is), and chroma (vibrancy/saturation) of a colour, but not what the hue is. So if you have an equally saturated and equally light/dark red, green and yellow, telling them apart will be difficult. Those also happen to be the range of undertones our skin can have, and discerning the small differences can already be hard for a non colourblind person 😬
* red and green in quotes because they're actually called medium and long wavelength cones, and the activation ranges don't actually match exactly with red and green wavelengths of light

I feel like Leigh may have subconsciously self-sabotaged 😢…his comments about feeling “less than” as a MUA throughout the season and then his sort of fizzle out at the end here leads me to think he was ultimately overtaken by his own self-doubt. I really liked his stuff, he was my overall fave but that undercurrent of perceived inadequacy never quite disappeared.

honestly one thing i hate about competition shows is when its blatantly obvious its rigged in someones favour. I was watching a cooking show & by like mid way it was obvious who was going to win, not because they were good, but because of favouritism. So annoying.
