Wished I didn’t see some of these videos though. Very depressing and troubling. One in particular never leaves my mind and I don’t like that. Negative‼️
@Rhule_N_Reyne
The diva practice of requesting that customers wash prior to salon visit. And the prices are just astronomical in America. I didn't understand it.
@Rhule_N_Reyne
It's crazy in America, but UK is not far behind. Nowhere as bad, unless you go to high end salons then you pay high end prices.
I just do myself and use wigs when feeling lazy. The wigs last for 2- 8 months, depending on the quality.Honestly, haven't spent more than £50 on s wig max. My current was on sale at my local for about £19 and I've been wearing for about 4 months with no tangles or matting 🎉
@Aimee0206
What kind of psychopath pours boiling water on someone's head, and then keeps doing it despite them screaming in pain?!
@leslieterry5788
The hot water I almost teared up. 😢That was horrific and that’s not normal and should be criminal. And anyone letting someone do that to them on purpose is stupid. That’s my take on it.
@pjewellful2012
That boiling hot water was sadistic! They need to be reported
@SanaaJadeCruz
Those hot water braid videos look like torture vids. It’s probably fake the scalp should at least get red no? Is there like torture p*rn? Idk it felt icky watching it
@elainamarshall114
Hot water on the scalp? Cuz they are jealous of baby girl. You can tell from her hairline that she has a high density hair and those woman are jealous of baby girl
@sweetness345
That woman powering hot water on someone‘s scalp is a demon 😈. Why does the lady accept to even go on with being burnt ?
@anastasiawortham8833
Some people just enjoy hurting others. They go into professions that allow them to have access to people who are in a vulnerable disempowered position in order to abuse them.
@mentalhealthandmake-up8036
I live in Atlanta and get my hair braided by a young lady I met at church when she was a teenager. She usually charges 50 dollar travel fee because she comes to my home. I then usually give her 200 dollars after she finishes. So 250 for medium knotless beautiful braids tailbone length. She told me that is the going rate or more. I feel blessed to have her in my life. DM me if you want her info. Her name is Brittany.
@janforreal2644
There's no way in H&LL she doesn't know how water will scald skin
@allen9584
Your Braider used to wash deep condition & trim your hair ?
@Sfg705
Se sont des sauvages, ignorant
@Simply_Mimi1017
Oh my gosh I’m loving the color of this hair wrap! Honestly it depends on the type of braiding style you want, the length, the size of the braids as well as how much the stylist is in demand. Also if it includes other services. BUT all that aside I would say yes $150-$300.
As I child my mom would do my sisters and I’s hair. Then when we got older we started doing our own heads it wasn’t until we were able to pay for own salon visits that we started going BUT back then like you said those services was actually included in the $40-$60 press and curl.
That last video was just pure evil. You don’t pour boiling out water on anybody’s scalp! And she did it MULTIPLE times even when the girl was screaming. My goodness 🤦🏾♀️ unbelievable
@ttyngordon
In NYC, the one person I trust in my head charged $250 for small, knotless box braids. $530 is expensive for basic services. A wash, condition, and blow-dry should be basic services.
@bumblebee4024
Braiding is very time-consuming & can easily take 6 to 8 hours for those 30" butt-length braids – & the client oftentimes has long hair, as we saw in this reaction video. So if braiders charged for their time, $50 – $75 per hour, the price could easily be $300 – $600. In most service based industries, the fee is more about time than skill because most people can do what they are paying for. They just don't feel like doing it this time which is why they're paying someone else to do it.
@IMLovelydove23
She burn that young lady scalp and skin. Those other women just sat there😮. 😢 please God let her not to do this to anyone else again. 🙏
@ashleycbla
That’s why I’m thinking about micro locs. No longer have to worry about tangling up my hair on daily/weekly basis.
@aliceinganjaland
Coming from a braider and liscensed cosmetologist in the U.S and U.S Virgin Islands 🇻🇮 I am absolutely horrified and disgusted and that poor woman should have stood up out the chair and walked out. Because wtf 🤬 I can’t ever imagine treating my most difficult and disruptive client this way. I would never even dream of it. wtf is her problem really?! 😢so disturbing
@gracajose6861
Why would you pay someone to burn your scalp?
@anpu369
The lady who was getting the hot water poured on her looks like she is of non-West African descent and the West African lady is committing an ethnic hate crime. I guarantee you the non West African women had the perfect hair and this West African and the others in the salon were envious as shown by their smirks and actions. There’s a reason why non West African women do not go to their salons.
@janforreal2644
You could have parked a car in the spaces of the 1st girls braids.
@liberatedy.o.u.4017
The first price is reasonable. She added the hair. The hair is pretty expensive.
@pipelayomimiko
Hot water to the scalp is pure evil. She kept going over the same spot. Evil.
@candicedice8605
NY 180 200 braids box
@Maderlololohio
I am angry at the people watching her burn those poor girls!!!!!!!! They should all get charged for assault!!!
@SE-gs6gd
Those box braids aren’t anything special. You can do those yourself
Edit: that boiling water on the scalp was that women being jealous and spiteful and evil. You only dip the ends to make the synthetic hair smooth out at the end. You have to be very careful about who puts their hands in your hair. Her energy said demon fr. Plus they could have hair loss from that. Unreal
@peacefulblessed2114
Wait a minute 600 dollars for box braids WTF! The only braids I paid 200.00 for microbraids two decades ago. I paid 150. 00 for box braids before
I am glad I found love within myself taught myself how to twist and plait my real hair.
I will never
@ChocolateThaiE
I live in Atlanta. I got my hair braided a free months ago. I paid 240.00. That included the hair. The braids were also damn near to my butt.
@itsjessguys7005
That’s a scalp detox alright. Scorched follicles everywhere 😅
@valentwinee
Girl that’s real you saw the smoke coming from that water
@Jennifer_Elliott
Chicago $150 – $350 depending on braid size / length.
@debbiep99
The boiling water was wicked. Her scalp is going to fall off.
The unprofessional behavior of these braiders… But saying book time off for your cycle, you are assuming everyone's cycle is regular. I have endometriosis, my cycle is not regular.
@gigiwallace6645
I’ll be damned if I pay 600 for some waist length braids 😂 this is why I braid my own hair
@monicabrown712
#1: The price was entirely too much much to be seeing so much scalp. Also, a wash and blow dry should be included in that fee.
#2: I'm concerned about the amount of heat/passes of the flatiron. You can't convince me that it doesn't smell like singed hair in that shop.
3. If really done in the USA, that action would be considered criminal assault.
4. I would have told the braider to cancel the appointment at the point of rescheduling my appointment without discussion. I also would dispute any charges that were incurred from said stylist.
The common theme of these videos is how unprofessional each of the stylists/business owners were. The overall lack of care for their clients and craft is disgusting.
