Summer is, unfortunately, winding down and college is about to be back in session. But that doesn’t suggest the sun is taking a break. Actually, it’s warmer than ever here in California. So Amy wanted to seek out out: what’s the BEST and WORST sunscreen to guard her skin from the blistering sun? We’re using different Vacation sunscreens, corresponding to gel, spray on, stick, and even milk (ick). Who will WIN this sun screen test? Watch to seek out out!

The best sunscreen thatβs best is whatever doesnβt π₯ me to a crisp
@Battle_Hippos11
I like using oil for the first hr or so out then applying the lotion then I top up with the spray π it's a lot but I love how my skin feels after…

I wonder if this test could be done using pork which is similar to human flesh, for increased safety since you now donβt risk harming a person, but rather an already dead piece of food.
@vidhoard
Now we need a brand comparison on the lotions

I mainly just want a solution that gives me the most melanin while preventing skin cancer and burning

Amy: I haven't had a vacation since last year
Me: Oh PLEASE – I haven't had a vacation where we didn't "visit family" in over a decade, and I've gone nowhere in 3-4 years π€ͺ

OMG I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY BURN GIRL!! The exact same thing happened to me as a kid, I used to get tan as a kid and around 11/12 I got super pale and now I only burn π
@Axolotl_da_sakura_blossom
I have the same pop socket 11:20

I mean… the direction for the stick is to reapply it at least every 2 hours. Did she reapply it during that 4 hour test?
@owen9359
Longshot, but does anyone know where Matt got the light blue robo-anime girl long sleeve from the "stop washing your legs" short?
@Stardusk123
im guessing the oil did better on your skin then on the card because it absorbed into your skin but not into the card
@LunaWitcherArt
Yeah, when you get exposed to the sun without protection, you can get burns that take a few YEARS to fully disappear, and that was my experience when I was under 25yo. Imagine if you are older and your skin doesn't heal as quickly as when you were a young adult.
@atomicgator5207
Attending meetings. Answering emails. Enduring burning heat, loud noise, and bugs. Your version of a "staycation" is completely different than mine! π

Me coming to style theory to learn about powder sunscreen.
Powder sunscreen: πΆβπ«οΈ
@ribbonfly
I wonder if sunscreen does go bad, I know they have an expiration date but would that be harmful?
Shade and cover is the best skin protection.
@aanneliise
once i got a rlly bad sunburn on the back of my neck and my skin has never been the same colour since lol
@navidesquivel3203
Curious what the best would be for your head. Iβve gotten a scalp burn or two from being out in the sun I imagine the lotion one be the best but getting it in your hair isnβt great even spray leaves your hair greasy. Also wondering where powder sunscreen falls on the spectrum since I know thatβs nice for if you wear makeup it doesnβt ruin any of the product you have on underneath. I know beauty YouTubers have done some testing with spf in make up but very curious what the theorist have to say on the effectiveness of spf in makeup especially since you can possibly be using enough product to get adequate protection
@jessienerdis4179
12:31 why was I surprised? I still have a sunburn from year 7 because of the stick sunscreen they gave us
Edit: I literally did rub in so much stick sunscreen DX
@loveandlost13
I was the opposite of you tho! I burned CONSTANTLY as a kid but now i tan more than burn. I definitely still burn but it's not as bad as it was when I was a kid. I burned on a cloudy day sitting by a windows as a kid but now I really never burn

Please keep in mind that the zinc and other physical barriers in sunscreens can be bad for marine creatures and should only be used at the pool or in a non-ocean environment. Keep the local marine life safe while keeping yourself safe, please!
