I hate to say this, but you paid a lot for poorly made clothing. The only garments that looked remotely well constructed were the green fairy one in the beginning and that last number, the pink and gold look. You could have bought all the same things off Temu for less money, and they would have been precisely the same. I'm all for supporting small, niche, and new designers, but most looked poorly designed and executed. I hope you didn't give a lot of money to scammers.

The thing about expensive indie dresses is they are a commitment. II recently spent $300 for a formal gown w/a corset back cause I am at the age of everyone getting married. If this is something you'll wear once then never again then yeah not wroth it. If you're like me and like to get 10+ years out of your clothes then I'd say the fairy dress is worth the price especially just for the embroidery work. Up until the 1960's with catalog/fast fashion, textiles are pricey and people typically only had a few outfits with pieces either bought or inherited. I bring this up because if people really want to move away from fast fashion we need to shift how much we think a shirt or dress is worth. And even though it is 500 euros, the indie designer is probably still underselling it.

Tbh kind of put off by how much you went on about the price for the first dress. Just once I would have been able to brush it off but it started to feel like you were shaming a small handmade business for appropriately pricing their high quality work after a bit. Clothes SHOULD be expensive. The reason we're used to them being cheap is because we're used to exploiting sweatshop and slave labor. Every single garment is actually handmade, there are not machines that properly make clothes yet. When you buy a 5 dollar t-shirt, imagine how much the person who actually sewed it together made from that amount? As a society instead of buying 100 outfits for 5 dollars (or euros, I'm not european), we should be buying 5 outfits for 100 dollars. We simply do not need a huge closet full of clothes to survive when we can get by just fine on a few high quality pieces to rotate out. This outfit is very 'specialty' and great for people who work at Ren Faires or are performers, want a fantasy like you said, etc. There's absolutely a market for it at that price and it should remain as expensive as it is.

P.S.: I really loved the concept of the watch set. The only criteria I would give is the placement of the watches on the skirt. I wish that they would've been placed the same way they were placed on the top. I just feel like it looks better that way. It would also be more practical if the back wasn't open, but I totally get the c*nty factor of the back being open.

Girl, that „corset“ thing… I followed Mawt on Instagram because I thought the stuff was quite interesting. But I didn’t know how expensive they were. AND NOT EVEN GIVING YOU A RIBBON WITH IT???? And it would look so much better with a back piece. I sew myself and I made several (actual) corsets in the past. I know what it means to make clothes yourself, but that… for that price point. Offensive honestly 😅 unfollowed her because of this. And I also don’t like that you basically have to be a size zero in order to fit her things.
