I live for my grombre hair as a 43 year old woman. My mother in law is not happy that I always respond that dying my hair won't make me look younger as I look at her dyed and highlighted hair. 😂😂 Comfort within ourselves needs to be normalized

I really enjoyed this interview! Katie has such thoughtful questions and topics that really gave us a beautiful glimpse of who Andie MacDowell really is. I am very much enjoying Andie in the new Hallmark Series, The Way Home.

I love her, she is 100% right

OMG, she is 65??! Stunning woman!!! Thank you for setting this example for all of us who want to age naturally ❤

Thank you, totally agree

God Bless you, Andie! You will be beautiful from the inside out at any age. So glad to see you're not chasing your youth and embracing your true age. None of us should believe the hype that we "lose" our beauty just because we age!

A lady told me the other day that I need to dye my hair because it's gray! I like the gray it makes me look distinquish! ❤
Witness for Jesus
Andie looks great with grayish hair! I like it! I'm gray myself too.❤

Katie hit the point on the head! When she said any woman that says, “YOU’RE OLD!” immediate response should be….the older woman response is…. you will be lucky one day if you make it to be old which is so true. Life is to be celebrated the older you get the more celebrated you should be. Most countries don’t look down on the elderly they look up to them! Shame on Americans!!

it does look good.

Every age imparts value to culture. It would be wonderful if cultural attitudes and norms would acknowledge that fact. I love the emphasis of eating well, exercising and continuing to improve and be the best we can be from a physical standpoint, whatever the challenges might be as we age. This emphasis, in addition to developing character, wisdom and a beautiful spirit is a dynamic combination. On the subject of men wanting younger women, this is not the sort of man I would choose even if I had that option as a 63 year old woman. If love ever comes my way again, I want a man who values me for me, who I am now, for the wisdom I have gained, for the human being I have become. Not someone who would monitor whether or not I am maintaining a certain ageless standard of beauty. As Andy says, we have enough to take care (healthy body, brain, etc.) without adding that pressure.

As soon as I saw Andies hair, way back,I decided to go grey. She looks amazing! 👍🇬🇧

LOVE THIS! Andie, you're beautiful, Katie is too.

great conversation. i wish that Andie had clarified that "nourishing her skin", eating well, etc. is not to be younger it's just taking care of herself, which we all, men and women, should do at any age. also i disagree that "a real model does runway". i believe that that's true if you're a fashion model; and there are all kinds of models. a catalog model or commercial model who does ads is no less a model.

Expending energy to be "young" as we age IS exhausting. Why put ourselves through it? There are better ways to spend my time, precious as it is.
Andrea Schmall
Thank goodness she did not choose to turn her face into one of a reptilian monster as so many other celebs strangely seem to do.

I really am bothered when people say they’re a burden. We care for our children for 20 years or so, why is them caring for us for a time a burden? My father just passed away and he said to me I don’t want to be a burden. I said dad, you are not a burden. Didn’t you care for me for 19 years before I flew away? Why is caring for you now a burden? It was a joy and a blessing for me and my family to care for one of the most important men in my life.
Aggie Sikora
Andie you are beautiful ❤

She’s so lovely!! Look how far we’ve come! Back when I was young women would never even wear glasses if they were famous.

Andie, you look 10 years younger!

Canada’s Lisa LaFlamme if I spelled that correctly was dismissed for having grey hair. To think CANADA’s leaders ENABLE SEXISM TODAY is pathetic a bunch of boys that their grandmother clearly didn’t whip on. These minds (losers) that have control have been at market way too f’in long. Shows zero respect.

Why does everything have to be an issue? I could care less what color your hair is. I have seen gray, blonde, platinum ,purple…..it’s all good. You get one shot around so do what you want and stop arguing for or against meaningless crap like gray hair or not.
Denise Flahavin
Andie McDowell wants to be old. Groundhog Day must have been traumatic. Just kidding. There's old and then there's old. Bless.
Jacqueline Foote
Age is something to be proud of and celebrated think on this ❤

I love her hair always have it doesn’t matter if it’s green she’s got beautiful hair and she’s absolutely gorgeous inside and out ❤❤❤
Oh My
As they both have filters on to hide their aging.

Andie is not just embracing her age, she really and truly looks beautiful, for godssake!
maryrose mitchell
There is no old or new. There is just what is. I wouldn’t say an expressions like, “I want to be old” because being old is a mindset and then you may start acting old and the body will listen. How about saying, “I am healthy, joyful and filled with positive energy.” Betcha that’s what will arise!!

Ugh you were so good in Maid! I'm hoping for a new season. I want to know how you and Alex are!!

They can afford to age gracefully. You can see you have had work done. Great for you. Glad you are enjoying it. I didn’t mind getting older until I got hurt. Then I really felt old.
Now & Then
I don’t understand why women go grey if they are still doing other things to maintain a youthful appearance. It takes 30 minutes once a month to color your hair , but the same women that stop coloring their hair will take 15 minutes a day to put on makeup and take another 10 minutes at the end of the day to take it off . And they will go through other time consuming rituals to look younger , but won’t take the 30 minutes once a month . And grey hair is the most aging thing that happens to most of us , but hey if you don’t care then do what you want to do , but don’t act like you don’t care about aging and then do other anti aging rituals.
