There are some nail polish shades which can be obvious for fall: burgundies, deep oranges, browns — just about anything that evokes changing leaves, spice-sweetened coffee, etc. And while gray might not be the primary color that involves mind, you may have to confess, nothing says you are bracing for autumn quite like a classic, goes-with-everything gray sweater. So why not extend that cozy vibe to your manicure? Lily James just did exactly that, and now we have a sense she’s on the forefront of a significant fall trend.
The actor sat front row on the Erdem runway show during London Fashion Week on Sunday, September 17, alongside other celebrities like Ashley Graham, Karen Elson, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. She looked chic as all get-out in a protracted, dramatically gathered, black skirt and a cropped yet snuggly-looking gray, fuzzy sweater with beaded, black floral accents.
Frankly, any manicure would look fabulous with this daring ensemble of neutral colours, but as an alternative of contrasting, James decided to match her nails to her sweater. A photograph shared to her Instagram stories and videos and photos shared by London-based nail artist Michelle Class provide a close-up of the gorgeously glossy medium-tone gray on James’s oval-shaped nails.
