Oui the People founder Karen Young is having a moment.

Up to now few months, Young has introduced 4 recent body care products, turn out to be a 2023 Sephora Speed up graduate and launched Oui the People in 266 of the retailer’s doors. To have fun, Young is taking to the streets of her native Latest York this weekend with a mobile truck offering customers free samples, coffee and Orange Blossom-flavored donuts — inspired by the brand’s hero Orange Blossom hydrating body gloss.

“It’s about immersing yourself in these Latest York streets; my goal is to get our bestselling products in front of everyone while educating them about what we’re about,” said Young, whose family immigrated to Flatbush from Guyana. “You’ll be able to speak about ingredients, you possibly can deliver prestige body care and you possibly can still have an incredible element of culture to [a brand] that doesn’t get sanitized — that’s what we’re doing.”

Mary Kay is feting its sixtieth birthday with a mobile pop-up tour.

The brand kicked off the initiative in Miami last weekend and is now bringing pink-colored coffees, matcha lattes and samples of its flagship Timewise Miracle Set to Chicago tomorrow and Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., next weekend.

“This [mobile tour] is a primary for us,” said Regena Pipkin, vp of selling and communications at Mary Kay, adding the brand is on the market in 35 countries globally and the tour’s three destinations are hot spots for its consumers and direct sales force. “Being a brand that’s 60 years old, we’re proud to have consumers and wonder consultants alike who’ve grown with us through the ages, and in 2024 you’ll see more work from us in drawing younger consumers to the brand as well.”

Oct. 14: 10 a.m. to five p.m. at 12505 Cultural Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
