You have so many insight and good knowledge behind you, I'm pretty sure most people who follow you are here for that well of goodness! Take your time, like you used to, please.
Secondly: Thank you very much for this video! I have been a bit afraid to watch it, given how it is in today's social behavioural trend to just dwell on the past and cancel literally everyone who isn't a saint.
I didn't like Karl Lagerfeld for his personality and opinions, but I liked him because of his creativity and creations. His work has influenced me more than I was aware in my life and I am very happy it did and that the MET Gala dedicated this year's theme to him. It was very inspirational to look at the many aspects of his influence and what was left behind, I especially enjoyed the original creations with the personal touch – Anne Hathaway's look is just!! I can't even.

Hi, Justine! Loved the video, but you forgot 1 outfit that took a critical approach to the theme: Viola Davis in hot pink Valentino, because of Lagerfeld's quote "think pink, don't wear it" or something like that (I did not fact-check it, this is what I read here in Brazilian media). I don't know if the other celebrities in (soft) pink had the same approach.
Plus, I really liked that Lizzo took a photo in a dinner eating fries in her Chanel outfit, as a protest against Lagerfeld fatphobia.
Viola and Lizzo were both AMAZING! Lagerfeld is a fashion icon, but he was also a despicable human being, so I think Met Gala 2023's theme had some polorazing issues.

I think one of the best things about this theme was it kind of gave permission for rewearing. Not many people did, but I still hope we can see more rewearing and sustainability in the future.

Apparently the bridal looks Lagerfeld created were a big deal as he would let only his muse/favorite model wear them at the end of the show.
A favorite of mine is Doja cat, it was outside of the box yet in line with her name and found it still pleasing (not costumey mockery like Jared Leto's)

My first reaction seeing Jared Leto's costume was "he knows a guy." The color blending on the cat face was fantastic. But i don't know many costumers so maybe that's standard creation? …shrug… I love Anne Hathaway's pins and pearls and tweed. I'd wear it.

The Met gala used to be a classy event attended by A listers.
Itβs devolved into a trash-fest with Z listers and influencers.
Justine showed some dignified choices but there were a lot she didnβt show that were simply obnoxious. And Janelle Monae is among this latter group.
Thereβs very little elegance β or fashionβ any more; itβs a gathering of low-rent losers.
