My girl Rachael is here and her hair is broken and she or he doesn’t know exactly why. I gave her a listing of tests to ask her doctor to run.

I had permanent parts and traction alopecia. In July I completely shaved my head and started my 540 wave journey and the brushing is really helping my hair come in along with hot towel treatments with castor and vitamin e oil. Not recommending it but it helped me

Beautiful!! You are truly a God-send.🥰
Most people would just take the money and run; they would not be willing to help anyone. Thank you.

Thank you so much for this. I’ve battled hair loss on a few occasions and am once again on the road to recovery. I recently found out that my vitamin D was drastically low, but haven’t had my hormone levels checked. I hope I can catch your LA Pop Up. I love your work and your spirit is so positive. Thanks again! ✨

I was experiencing hair loss really bad at the beginning of the year. I went to the doctor and was told it was telogen effluvium.
Although I have somewhat of an answer I’m still going to go and get test run.

Are you saying that the blood test has helped with your weight loss journey as well?

I have a question about shampooing
Should someone shampoo your hair and use the shampoo brush? It seems to pull the hair. Should I request no usage of that small brush?

She looks amazing!!! I will definitely be speaking to my doctors about this.

Your hot comb looks brand new compared to the ones my Mom and Aunt used on us. I miss not having one for instances like this.

I have PCOS and I have flair ups around certain times of the year. The very last one was my worst. I lost the majority of my hair in the back and had an undetected miscarriage in May because the doctors wouldn’t help me. I’m only 27

I just saved this video Kee!! My hair went through a really stressful period last year . I went into menopause at 42 ,but my hair was still thriving in spite of . Last year my hair just starting thinning out and my stylist had to end up taking off a significant amount of which really end up making me so sad ,because my hair had grown past the middle of my back which was the longest it had ever been in my life. I ended up going to the doctor and had some of the panels you mentioned done . It ended up being my vegan lifestyle. I wasn't getting enough of the nutrients that i needed . So me and my doctor came to a compromise. He put me on a 80/20 nutrition regime. My plate now 80 percent plant based and 20 percent animal protein. The health of my hair has improved significantly. I also have incorporated sea moss and collagen and i can definitely tell the difference. My hair is noticeably thicker than what it was and there has been less shedding 😁

A little janky … unfortunately the United States health care system is ludicrous unless you are rich (or in any of the three branches of government).

Yes. I agree especially for thyroid and sugar which is normally tested during yearly physicals. I have hypothyroidism. I have to go every three months to check my levels to make sure the medication is working. Great video!!

I would add iron to the list because that was the cause of my hair breakage.

Bless you for bringing up this issue! We have to be aware of our health and not assume everything is stress or aging.
Sadly we often have to even do sone of our own doctors jobs because even the doctors don’t always think to ask these things.

I had weight loss surgery and lost a bunch of hair. It’s finally stopped falling out now but it was scary. I feel for anyone with a lot of fall out

My hairloss was due to vitamin d deficiency. My internist said it was the lowest in any patient he ever saw (and he's the top in our state). I still remember getting the call while i was in GNC. I was like, "perfect timing, im in GNC now!". He said, "Ma'am, there's nothing in that store you can buy to get your levels up!"
I was on 50k iu for 2 years straight. Hair is back full.
Everything else was ruled out.
Please note that sometimes you need to go beyond the basic blood work that is given at your local clinic or you primary care doctor. My internist literally ran every test he could to make sure he left no stone unturned. Thankfully, now we are able to see previous bloodwork dating dating back years from multiple providers. I could see where the bloodwork from other providers made it seem as if everything was ok…. but it wasn't

Almost cried reading the title, my only hair problem is my excessive hair loss, I'm at the point where I'm almost bald at the top and front, my mother had it too, and have been looking for good wigs because I don't want to see my scalp anymore 😥 Thank you so much for this, God bless you 🙏❣❣❣

Yess! I get nervous sometimes going to the Dr. because I'm worried as a woman in general esp WOC I won't be taken seriously…
This video has so much info. So glad that you could get help and now sharing all this advice/info! I had hairloss also a bit earlier this year. For me it was a scalp/hair infection called "white piedra." Online top result said u have to shave off the hair to fix it but also says there can be topical treatments, for me I used a ketoconazole shampoo (the one I used was called 'nizoral') for it, and I also did diluted apple cider vinegar rinse a few times, maybe 4 (saw suggested online – it didn't hurt anyway), and PRAYING SO MUCH like legit prayer about this almost every day if not every day! That fixed it. If anyone reading is wondering, you'd know if you had this bc it leaves small white balls in your hair (they almost look like hair follicles, or kind of like lice eggs but aren't always at the root of the strand and are really small but visible especially if you have dark hair.) Dr. can test hair strand to tell if you have it or not tho you'd probably see it if you do and it isn't super common apparently. There are other stuff like cinnamom bark oil (cinnamomum zeylanicum oil) , I think I saw tea tree oil suggested, but I haven't used cinnamon bark oil in my hair and tho I've used tea tree oil in the past I didn't use it for this so not sure with those.

So happy for you key, that hair is Hairin' babee!!

I’ve been having issues growing my hair in my crown area for yrs. I didn’t have these issues until 2012 when I returned back to natural hair after 5 yrs relaxed. I was natural with locs most of my life. After I transitioned I noticed I’ve been having these issues growing hair in my crown. I have a blood disorder called thalassemia (which I’ve had my whole life) however, it didn’t really start affecting my hair until got close to my 30s. Now I’m 36 with locs again (just started them 6 months ago) and I’m still struggling. I take excellent care of my hair even when I was a loose hair natural but I still struggle. Any suggestions? I even chopped my hair all off and still struggled with hair growth at the same rate as the rest of my hair. My hair is thick and doesn’t fall out, it just grows slower in my crown. Please help.
