Recent mom Rihanna is loving being a parent. 

The singer and makeup mogul described having a toddler as “life starting over”.

Speaking on the black carpet of her Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 4 recently, she described motherhood as “a life that you’ve got never known before. It is not a chapter, it’s like a latest book completely.”

Rihanna gave birth to her and boyfriend A$AP Rocky’s first child, a boy, in May.

The nine-time Grammy winner also returned to the charts for the primary time in five years along with her latest song, Lift Me Up, from the soundtrack of the eagerly awaited superhero epic Black Panther: Wakanda Perpetually.

The track debuted at No 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The Barbadian beauty previously said she’d only return to creating music “for something special”.

Rihanna and Rocky (each 34) have not yet announced their baby’s name nor shown him in public.

“We just didn’t get around to it yet, really,” she told The Washington Post newspaper. “We’ve just been living. But I suppose there’s a certain freedom that comes with type of just, like, getting it on the market.”

Now that she’s a mom she’s realised she’s rather a lot like her own mother, Monica Braithwaite, RiRi says. 

“It’s weird. Even the little things that annoy me about her, I do it. I literally make all the same faces. I say the identical things. I clear my throat the identical way. I move my mouth the identical way.

“I either never noticed it or it never happened until I had a baby.”

Mornings are her favourite time along with her son, she told Entertainment Tonight.

“Oh my God, the mornings, like, seeing his morning face! Seeing a baby with, like, little bags and waking up they usually’re just, like, startled. They’re attempting to determine where they’re at. It is the cutest, it’s my favourite a part of the day.

“You take a look at him and he’s yours, but he’s a stranger and also you’re learning him as he’s learning you and learning the world. When he looks at me in my eyes, my whole soul . . . I can’t tell if it’s cold or hot,” she said. 

“He’s funny, he’s comfortable – and he’s fat!” she said with fun.

“He’s amazing. It’s an actual cuddly stage immediately.”

Meanwhile, Rocky is working on his next studio LP and says he’s focused on raising “open-minded children”.

“I’ll at all times remind my children to never lose their imagination, whilst adults, regardless of what,” the rapper said in an interview with Dazed magazine.

“I actually love to observe cartoons – I’ve watched like Teletubbies, Blue’s Clues, Yo Gabba Gabba, Peppa Pig and Baby Shark.”

In an interview after the Savage X Fenty fashion show, Rihanna was asked what her favourite body part to indicate off is, and if it had modified from a decade ago.

“Oh yeah, girl. It modified. I guarantee you it modified. I had a baby,” Rihanna told InStyle magazine.

“Let’s be real. It’s my booty. Now it’s my booty because I got one.”

When the reporter told Rihanna that she gave the very same answer 10 years ago, the star jokingly stormed off before returning to say, “How dare me! Well, the reply hasn’t modified.”
