Disappointing. Anytime a designer fools around massively with basic body outline and proportions, and bases an entire collection on that, he's risking strong public rejection. Apart from the powerful colours (this in itself isn't sufficient to hold interest), I found this a boring show unworthy of YSL.

I get that Anthony wants to stay true to the brandโs identity but nothing is fresh anymore, the production of the shows, the clothes themselves, I think itโs time for a fresh start, we love the legacy of the brand but it needs a major reboot. I appreciate the use of colour in this collection.

I know nothing about this industry but it reminded me of the 80โs with the shoulder pads and layers of bright colors then the 70โs sort of long lean droopy neck sweaters and dresses with low waists and leather coats. It kind of felt like what I saw growing up in the 70โs & 80โs. Fun.

This collection does not reflect all the incredible work Yves has done in the past, even he would be upset by how little variation there is with the silhouettes. The most redeeming aspect is the powerful use of color! Sadly, disappointed!
