THANKS SO MUCH FOR WATCHING!
Raymond Parker
Top notch, as usual.
Jürgen Niit
I would disagree with the more megapixel part – more megapixels also means more "faults" of the skin are visible. I went that road where I bought a high megapixel camera for campaign shoots and boy it was a surprise when I started editing my first patch of images.
The video is excellent, thank you!
Gewglesux
She's so pretty… Thanks you two!!
Duncan Meechan
I really enjoyed that Daniel, I think I may have learned one or two wee bits that will stick in my mind so that I can give it a go. I will of course have to go out and get myself a lantern first because I loved the light that put out, it made the skin look really smooth, a sort of natural smooth if you get my meaning, of course Kaiden didn’t need it as her skin is smooth already ????. Have to keep in with the models eh lol . Thanks again Daniel, brilliant video ????????
Tony Beale
Fantastic! Thanks, Daniel. Happy holidays to you, too!!

LOVELY
THANKS.

film noire or edgy portraits like they used to do in Westerns and in Dirty Harry movies, with Clint Eastwood. There was one where he looks like he was going to just goes nuts and starts shooting that I loved back in the 1990s

Does it make more sense to meter the background lights from the back of the model's head? I move the v-flats close to the model for the negative fill and end up with very accurate control of the lighting.
Pete McWade
I think a good idea for those on a serious budget would be to use a cheap umbrella and cover the back with cheap black cloth to prevent light from spilling out the backside. I do like umbrellas for beauty shots. I did not use black side V-Flats but the end result was great anyway. I think I could shape the face better using the flats. I'll try next time.
Marco Cuttin
As usual, very instructive video tutorial.
In this video when using the lantern, we see that the left side of the hair crispier. Could you do a tutorial on hair-beauty.
How can you achieve the detail of a velvety skin used in magazines? Is it possible without heavy retouching?
David Shandley
Did you set the Kelvin and tint manually on purpose?

Daniel, sorry for dumb questions, but the "3stops law" is to underexpose the image for ,in case of a recovery, is enough underexposed to don't recover also the ambient light?I'm correct?Otherwise please explain me better ????
Richard Km
Wow your studio is all white. Looks amazing
Marc Thibault
I really enjoy your videos! Your photos of Kaydence are great! And Kaydence, as usual, is on point! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! ????
Alan Johnstone
Very interesting demo, I really liked the results with the Lantern, even though the Beauty Dish is the classic tool for the job. The behind the scenes aspect of the wide angle video camera shots really show what goes on. Get well soon and Thanks to You and Kaydence. Merry Christmas ????????????????????
Jim Sewell
Thanks Daniel and Caidance. Please keep doing what you do. I have learned so much from watching. Happy holidays.
Family Tamelo
Isn't the hair fried up by the background light?
Daniel Teixeira
Very educative and entertaining as always. Merry Xmas!!
alexander pons
Great step by step video Daniel Norton! Love the Lantern and the effect it had. By the way I fear that the issue with Retouching even with Portraits is that a lot of people when doing selfies use filters that recreate retouching as well with many people/clients expect to look like a Cosmetic Ad. Merry Christmas Daniel Norton and much health to you for the New Year!
Brad Martin
Daniel thank you for these videos. Would you or have you done more videos about the creative process for a more advanced audience that understands lighting and is more interested in your process with a client?
Joseph Chan
See you online next year. Awesome work.
AdrianL
This is awesome. Thank you!
