“Staud Court was inspired by my obsession with the game. During COVID[-19] I used to be invited by a gaggle of ladies to play, having never picked up a paddle in my life. I used to be immediately hooked; it was an important method to spend time with one another (socially distanced) and get exercise and rejoice. It’s a sport which you could pick up almost immediately and I feel due to that low barrier to entry for therefore many individuals it’s caught on. Irrespective of your age, gender, athletic ability, you possibly can play. This collection got here from a spot available in the market of chic court-attire that may take you from a game to lunch, is comfortable and is functional,” Staudinger told WWD.

The debut Staud Court collection, priced $95 to $350, includes a variety of T-shirts, dresses, tank tops and sportif-minded accessories said to include lots of the brand’s signature details. As an illustration, branded tennis skirts and cardigans; bags with pickleball holder-inserts, and sporty-meets-preppy, fun dresses and knits (an embroidered cardigan boasting a “mythical dog” named Pickles).

“Something each the game and our brand share in common is a love of dogs. I decide to imagine that the game was named after the founder’s dog Pickles (regardless that I realize it was the opposite way around),” she said.
