Authentic Brands Group is at it again. The Latest York-based brand development, marketing and entertainment platform, on Friday said it has acquired the mental property of Hunter, the heritage British brand best known for its Original Wellington boot. The deal is believed to be valued at $125 million. Authentic had been rumored for months to be circling Hunter but put the potential acquisition on the back burner because it finalized its purchase of Boardriders, the parent company of Quiksilver and Billabong amongst others. Two of Recent York’s independent custom tailors are joining forces. Michael Andrews Bespoke (MAB), which touts itself as the town’s largest bespoke tailor, has acquired Angel Ramos/Recent York (ARNY), a luxury men’s brand known for its contemporary tackle classic custom tailoring. Terms weren't disclosed. Because of this of the acquisition, the 2 brands can be consolidated under a recent parent company, Marny LLC. The brands will operate independently under that umbrella and be led by Andrews, who will function chief executive officer. Lolë, a Montreal-based athleisure, energetic and outerwear brand, has acquired San Francisco-based Epoque Evolution, a direct-to-consumer upscale female-founded collection of ethically crafted, high-fashion and functional essentials for girls. Terms of the acquisition weren’t disclosed. The 2 brands will proceed their independent collections with the partnership, which is effective immediately.
