Under Armour Shuffles C-suite, Chief Product Officer to Exit
Stephanie Linnartz continues to make her mark on Under Armour. One week after cutting 50 corporate jobs as a method to trim expenses, Under Armour is now shuffling its executive team. On Wednesday, the Baltimore-based sports brand said that two top executives — chief operating officer Colin Browne, who had served as interim chief executive officer until Linnartz joined the corporate in February, and chief product officer Lisa Collier — will probably be exiting. Browne plans to step down in the autumn, the corporate said, while Collier will leave her post in August. Under Armour Introduces Marathon-Specific Flow Velociti Elite Shoe
Because the spring running season kicks into high gear, Under Armour is introducing a recent sneaker designed for competitive marathoners. Called the UA Flow Velociti Elite, the shoe offers cushioning and adaptability. It includes a full-length carbon fiber plate and a soft midsole foam that compresses and comes back to return energy to the runner. A Warp 2.0 upper offers breathability and the shoe also includes a TPE sockliner. The sneaker was designed with feedback from the brand’s North American skilled running team and prototypes were tested at several races across the country. Ten years after the NBA star and the sports brand teamed, Curry has stepped as much as grow to be president of the Curry Brand and can work to grow that as well the larger Under Armour business. Although much of the product over the past decade has been centered around sneakers, the Curry Brand offers footwear and apparel within the basketball, training and golf categories. Under Armour Names Marriott President Stephanie Linnartz as Next CEO
Under Armour Inc. reached outside of fashion for its latest team captain, naming Marriott International president Stephanie Linnartz as its next president and chief executive officer.  Linnartz takes the spot that was vacated when Patrik Frisk stepped down in June.  Kevin Plank — the driving force who put Under Armour on the map and still serves as executive chair and brand chief — welcomed Linnartz to the brand.  “She is a proven growth leader with a distinguished track record of brand name strategy, omnichannel execution, talent acquisition and development, and keenness for driving best-in-class consumer connectivity, experience and brand loyalty,” Plank said.  He said Linnartz was “accountable for leading Marriott’s multibillion-dollar digital transformation” and for partnering with sports leagues and growing the corporate’s loyalty...
