Williamsburg
Known for its bustling art scene, vintage shops and foodie destinations, this stretch of north Brooklyn has steadily morphed right into a hipster haven. And for higher or worse, luxury brands are actually trying to money in on the cool factor: The neighborhood’s North sixth Street has recently welcomed a string of upscale retail openings, including an Hermès outpost and adjoining Chanel Beauty and Byredo boutiques.
Though these additions would have felt misplaced a decade ago, they’re surprisingly of their element amongst an array of fast-facial bars, trendy exercise studios, a soon-to-be acupuncture spot, and throngs of tote-bag-holding, claw-clip-wearing passersby. Oh, who're all sporting no-makeup makeup.
