How Chefs From St. Martin Brought ‘The ‘Melting Pot

2022 Essence Festival of Culture held in Recent Orleans, Louisiana- July 1-3, 2022 St.Martin natives Chef Kareem Brooks and Chef Kénila Hyman gave a culinary demonstration in the course of the first-ever ESSENCE Eats Food And Wine Festival on the 2022 ESSENCE Festival of Culture. The chefs taught participants the way to make a number of tasty staple dishes from the Caribbean island, including traditional favorites like dumplings with crab, johnny cakes (or journey cakes) and saltfish.
