Natural, By-subscription Personal Care Brand 900.care Raises 21M Euros
PARIS — Natural, refillable, by-subscription skincare and hygiene brand 900.care has raised 21 million euros. The funding round was led by Lombard Odier Investment Managers, alongside 900.care historic investors White Star Capital, Swen Blue Ocean and Founders Future. With the brand new funds the French brand’s founders Aymeric Grange and Thomas Arnaudo plan to step up 900.care’s internationalization in neighboring countries after successfully entering Belgium and Switzerland. The duo launched the brand in 2021 with the aim of converting consumers to refillable natural hygiene and care products, due to this fact eschewing single-use plastic. The natural products range from shower gels, toothpaste, deodorant and shampoo to laundry and dishwashing tablets. PARIS — Sweden’s Apotek Hjärtat pharmacy chain is taking steps to ban the sale of advanced skin take care of the under-15 set. A swell of tweens, often known as “Sephora kids,” have found their technique to the skincare aisles, especially within the U.S., thanks largely to the mounting prominence of beauty chatter on social media. Apotek Hjärtat, the leading Swedish pharmacy chain, said in a press release that to ensure that people to purchase advanced skincare, they need to be above 15 years of age, have their parents’ approval or have a skin condition justifying the products’ use. PARIS — A spate of European indie skincare and wellness brands haven't yet made it to the U.S., but are ripe for the stocking by retailers there. Consider indies because the mice that roar, and the numbers prove their bite. Indie skincare sales last 12 months within the U.S. were especially strong, equaling $9.1 billion, a 14 percent year-on-year increase. That followed on from 11 percent growth in 2022.
